Hi everybody...

Im a big fan of the RE Series like most people here. And I feel as though the RE Universe has a lot more to offer its Fans and people unfamiliar to the series. I have recently purchased RE5 and really enjoyed it and have played it alot and am now half way through on the (Professional) difficulty which feels like a survivor horror game now.

But other than being a Huge Gamer I also consider myself a up and coming young Actor with professional work behind me. And Actor who trained at (WAAPA) Hugh Jackman's Drama School.

I plan to Write and Produce a Short Film set in the RE Universe 5-6 months after the events in Africa in RE5. Based in Australia with the Oceania Branch of the BSAA investigating into the where abouts of a BOW researcher in the worlds most Isolated City in the world Perth Western Australia.

Two SOA's (Special Operations Agent) are sent out to investigate and report on a possible location being a Recon Assignment but when the two get there things get out of hand quicker than they imagined.

I guess I wanted to pay tribute to the Old School survival horror aspect but not make it an all out action onslaught. Going back to the roots of the franchise. I guess I wanted to see what you guys and gals the true fans of the Genre felt about it. And I am a Huge Fan myself and am dedicated to making a Professional Short Film (Not YouYube Quality with Direct rippoffs or Amateur film making)

Im making it for the fans and Myself so what do you think???

It will be a Direct spin-off with cross story lines in the Character Backstory. The RE Characters have a huge impact in the storyline but I decided to Introduce two new characters in the lead roles Dominic Stone (No Relation to Josh Stone) and Sophia Reynolds both with a thick History that intertwine with our favourite characters. I thought with the BSAA having several branches throughout the world it would be interesting to see how Bio-terrorism is affecting the world in other countries and the people involved.

Im still writing the script and am open to idea's This is Made by a Fan for the Fans which I think more films should be made this way...

i did have a idea for a RE film once but i went with a RE fanfic instead,it got like ten thousand reads before i pulled it down(at the request of the website i had it on,it took up to much of there server space lol,it was like 9mbs)

Sorry rushed ahead and forgot your other question. Im going to meet with a DOP (Director Of Photography) to Discuss that. I think the Cut Scenes of RE5 had an amazing grit to it very 24 but I think the Wide shots and Static camera positions might make a small Cameo in the film.

i was going to put the RE story on here(i have it saved on a CD with some other RE stuff)but i saw the 'policy' on fanfics and such,dosent matter right now because the CD is packed up in about 50 pounds of game disks and there cases

A question you might have the answer to. Whats the Policy and if im breaking any Site rules it isnt my intention im just after Fan Feedback.

you should really make it Oceania (SOA). I believe that you will do a good job but try to put the true meaning of resident evil not like the other resident evil movies, i mean they were good but it didn't had that resident evil spark with it. I hope you have fun with making the film. = )

I've also had an idea to do a British Resident Evil spin off using a devision of the Europe BSAA, I've even got access to some superb warehouses that'd really make it work. But I'll probably never get round to doing it, it requires too much time and too much help, both of which are practically non-existant for me at the minute.

Good luck with that. Sounds like an interesting project, hopefully you'll be able to share some storyline developments with us in the near future. Since you attended WAAPA you probably already know a lot of aspiring sound designers and composers, but on the offchance that you'll be looking for professional quality sound design/original music for your short film then i'd most definitely be interested. I'm trying to break into the field so i've been trying to find a short film to score (for free, obviously) for a while.
