  • Ndipaya ruins wall paintings

So, the Ndipaya ate the Progenitor flowers and died, and only someone with perfect genes could coexist with the virus, thus becoming superhuman, and king of the Ndipaya.

What confuses me about this are the two wall paintings in the Ndipaya ruins, which could be hundreds if not thousands of years old. The right one shows, if I'm deciphering it correctly, basically how the Ndipaya have harnessed sunlight through their crystals so that they can guide sunlight down to their underground dwellings and basically grow food and cattle and live underground, including getting sun to the Progenitor flowers. The second wall painting is alittle more interesting, which shows what looks like the Progenitor flower bed, and a bunch of strange looking tentacle creatures massacring people and eachother ontop of it.

I figured that this would mean, then, that if you ate the flowers and the virus rejected you, you would become a kind of early version of the Uroboros monsters? If I remember correctly, though, the Ndipaya said the flowers just killed them, and those tentacle creatures look kind of unique.

Or does someone have a better explanation of what the hell that wall painting is depicting? I'm useless and don't have pictures of this, but the location of the 2 paintings is in chapter 4-2 right after getting the 3 emblems to open the door while laser beams are trying to kill you, and you enter a door with two African fellows on it. Just before the laser mirror puzzle.

    Cool!
That sounds interesting. I don't remember the paintings but I'll keep my eyes open next time I play it.
Hopefully someone will post some screens.

Screen shots of this would be very helpful. Anyone?

we finally kicked the Ndipaya from the ruins they were squatting in. I have heard it was just to get this flower field, but that's the least of my concerns right now. The next few images show us something entirely different. Something horrible has happened. Monstrous, misshapen beasts with tentacle-like appendages sprouting from their backs are slaughtering the Ndipaya, devouring them whole and even attacking each other.
