The next antagonist will probably be a bio terrorism group, and I highly doubt we will see any returning RE characters as the protagonist (Except maybe Barry, Carlos, or Rebbecca)
Not using any returning characters for their next game would be a ballsy move by Capcom, I'd like to see it. However they said it was a gameplay reboot not a story reboot and a story hasn't even been discussed so no one can really say whos going to be in it. I seriously doubt though that they would use unmemorable sub-characters like Barry,Carlos or Rebecca. I wouldn't even start speculating whos going to appear as protagonist or antagonist at least until DSC is all said and done.

How about Billy Coen from RE:0. He might be the next lead candidate with having military background and the tattoo

That's something that hadn't crossed my mind, Nicholai working for the Organisation.

I think in order for us to have a good idea on who might be in RE6, we need to wait for Darkside Chronicles. Maybe DC will give us hope to see Sherry in future games. The child was imprisoned for crying out loud, so there must be something going on we don't know about...

Whats the fascination with Sherry? I find her slightly more interesting then say Rebecca Chambers but not enough to care if her story is ever resolved or not. When I hear Sherry Birkin I am reminded of the worst sub-segment in RE2...when you had to play as her briefly.

They should put a really lousy game together with this plot...Steve Burnside returns to teamup with his new partner, Angela Miller to fight down Sherry Birkin and the G-virus. Cameo appearances by Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers and Tofu. They can call it Resident Evil: The Irrelevant Chronicles.

It's not about her, it's about the G Vaccine that was in her body. Sort of what Wesker did with Jill and her T-Virus antibodies; it's not really about the character is what inside her...

And yes, we might have to wait for Darkside Chronicles, but I bet all my money that the "new" scenario that they are gonna include on it its the Degeneration one... The definite afirmation of making it canon.

And I really don't get the hate towards Leon... Yes he was a douchebag in RE4, but he made me laugh, really, all of the Salazar stuff was hillarious (not as original RE1, the Jill Sandwich is priceless).

Umm...there is absolutley nothing interesting about Rebecca when comparing her to Sherry. Sherry is the daughter of G-virus creator William Birkin, and the fact that she has the G-Vaccine in her body makes her one of the few intriguing characters in the series.

In my serious opinion, I think Sherry's story should involve Claire. It is still unknown if Sherry and Claire ever met up again after RE2, so I think it would be a good way to finish both their stories. Sherry would also be around 23-years-old, so I don't see any reason why they can't use her in future games.

I think Sherry would prove quite interesting as a character for a future title. If Claire reunites with Sherry, than I think it will be easier for fans to let go. Hell who knows, maybe that will be the final scenario of Darkside Chronicles, a few years after CV Claire infilitrates an umbrella facility to rescue Sherry, which is why she continues to save children in Degeneration. Still, I think that a future title, as in RE6, will most likely reboot the whole series. The end of an era

Got to say, out of all of the loose plot points not yet cleared up (and there are still a lot), Sherry is definitely the one who's I want to see resolved the most...

If they're gonna bring anyone back is gotta be Krauser or/and Nicholai. They were just bad-ass.

                            'Main Characters' of Resident Evil:

Chris Redfield - Odds are, his storyline is wrapped up and he won't be in back-to-back games.
                            Jill Valentine - Read above.
Leon S. Kennedy - He's a government agent...meh. Where to go from here with him?
Claire Redfield - She's babysitting an orphan somewhere
                            Albert Wesker - Melted.
Ada Wong - Ahhh...what do we have here?

That's my logic when thinking about RE6. Am I forgetting anyone? I don't think so.
                            Bruce McGivern?

                            *ducks*

I have the feeling that Wesker children will start popping out of the woodwork with RE6. Capcom gets its cake and eats it too, kill off a series villain, but have replacement versions on standby.

Nikolai always struck me as a wannabe-wesker. His modus operandi was pretty much the same as Alberts from RE1 - steal Umbrella's secrets, sell them to the highest bidder.

With Wesker coming back from the dead, i can see why Nikolai wouldnt have been used again. But now that Alberts gone, maybe its time for him to return.

Heck he even has a private army ready for him, we dont know what happened to all the Umbrella Special forces and UBCS troops.

Bruce was great, he was the Jack Bauer of Resident Evil. I can see him being a member of the BSAA North America branch.

Well if they stick to the co-op, I think a return of Bruce and Fongling would be awesome.
