It was pretty obvious who it was for a very long time, but then that final '2009' trailer just sealed the freakin' deal when it showed Wesker pulling up her hood. Thanks for not keeping any secrets, CAPCAWM.

But yeah, even when she was unmasked for the first time, the fanboy in me screamed out at the TV, "Jill!" just like Chris did. And then, I watched as one of my favorite Resident Evil characters got dismantled in front of my very eyes.

This would be the perfect fit for Sherry. I guess this is why many of us thought the woman in the tube was Sherry, plus the blond hair.

RE 6 = Claire and Leon look for Sherry?

That's my guess, but I bet they don't have a damned clue yet. Hell, people have been expecting that story since RE4.

I still think it would have been a nice twist if Sherry became the new villain of the series. Ah well.

Not only could they have played up any feelings of betrayal and/or abandonment she may have had after Leon and Claire left her, but also the fact that she was supposed to have been in the care of Wesker for the past ten years and who knows what kind of experiments he would have performed on her. Not to mention he and Birkin were best friends, so Wesker could use that to his advantage in "raising" Sherry.

Also, just imagine how Sherry might have felt if Chris was the one who finally found her and not Claire or Leon? Even worse still, what if Chris had only come after her because he thought she might be Jill?

Definitely. Is Wesker's Report not canon any more or something? What happened to Ada, Steve (as much as I hate the guy, Wesker did take him in for experimentation) and Sherry, seriously? Where did Wesker store all of these people when he took them in?

Umbrella Chronicles pretty much made it null and void. Plus, when it was re-released, they edited out the part about Sherry. So, it really is no longer important story-wise.

Yea I wonder if Wesker's whole, I'm god and im going to infest the whole world with crazy leech monsters would have broken their relationship? Something tells me that Birkin wasn't that crazy, seeing that he had a family and all. I think they could have tried a little bit harder to keep the whole Jill thing underwraps in the leakage/trailers. However, it also didn't help that they had to keep talking about her non-stop through the whole game. I need to find Jill! Where's Jill! I'm sure Jill's still alive! (In comes a mysterious cloaked female) wuh? Who's that? I don't know...maybe Jill

It wouldn't of made much sense story wise in a game starring Chris. However, its not far fetched to think that Sherry and Wesker could of gotten along. Wesker had her, its not likely that he treated her bad...as fooling her into thinking he cared would be something I can see Wesker pulling off just to manipulate her more easily. Pray upon the fact that he was her Dad's friend, that Leon/Claire abandoned her, among other things and you can a very weird Father/daughter-like relationship.

If they use her, I'd rather it be in a Claire story as I think Claire/Sherry were closer...at least thats the impression I got.

I have to agree, Sherry could never forget about her "big sister". I think that other than an Ada story here or a Hunk cameo there, this is one of the last decent plots they can squeeze from the original storyline without screwing it up completely.

Omg ffffffffffuuuuuu. You have no idea how much I would love something like this. Someone needs to write an epic fic or something since that will probably never happen, but oh my goodness I am in love with that concept.

I am liking this idea too tbh, and if you work the Jill angle into it it would work out as the first big female villain up against one of the biggest female characters in the game's history. I think that Jill still will be a large player in the series given how much focus she was given in 5 and how the Chris / Jill relationship is stil a focal point in the series and I feel that Sheva has served her purpose and that she will no longer be such a big player outside of the fifth game. Granted, in the last viral video it made it sound like they were both paired up again ( Chris and Sheva ) to go on another mission and Jill was not shown or mentioned at all, but I chalk that up to Capcom wanting to keep the Jill revelation under wraps and so could not mention or show her at all in any of those viral videos at all.

Why would Jill be in a game with Sherry? Jill's never met Sherry. If Sherry was going to be in a game, the protagonist would have to be Claire due to the bond they shared in Resident Evil 2. If Jill was in it it'd just be a case of, "Oh, you're some girl who survived Raccoon City who is now evil. Just like me in Resident Evil 5". Claire on the otherhand bonded with Sherry, protected her and gained maternal instincts over the kid. To see her like that after both her parents were dead and Claire should have looked after her, it'd break her heart and that's where the story would come from.

For example, when we first see Jill aka BMW with that black man in the village and watching him being infected, knowing now that that was Jill under mind control and doing this against her will, you think about how conflicted and torn she must have felt watching this man become a monster right before her eyes and she could do nothing to stop it.

It is interesting to note too that Jill was coherent and knew what was going around her even though she was under a tight control Jill still took in everything and knew what was happening and so to a certain extent could still do things of her own free will but with such a short leash attached to her as a result of the control device attached to her chest. For me it was an interesting twist on the La Plaga mind control and also kind of more sadistic form of torture too.

Also, was anyone else surprised that it was because of her previous T Virus infection and Jill now has DNA that cannot be corrupted by the zombie virus and so she is basically safe from that kind of fate now ?

With all these factors and her being a big factor in helping defeat Wesker in part 5, it makes me also believe she will have a starring role again in the series sooner rather than later down the line.
i agree, i was thiking this during my second playthrough to, it must of hurt her so much being forced to do that. that's why i cannot wait for Jill's next appearance so i can see what happens toher afterwards.

i think your right, but that would just be a repeat of Jill and Chris's fight i think.
