UC was more or less a recap of the events that transpired in the series, but told from Wesker's perspective. In a sense it was there to help gel the chronology together from the earlier games right the way up until RE4, and I like to think that they succeeded. The Russia scenario in 2003 was the best part of the game, and it fit in rather snugly alongside other events in the series - the destruction of the Spencer Rain a year previous, and the ending of Umbrella in 2004.

Just to elaborate here, Umbrella was found guilty in 2003 and the entire deconstruction process took place throughout that year. Though Umbrella Japan lasted until March 2004, until it was decided that it too would finally close. So the official end of Umbrella is 2004. Then later that year we have the RE4 introduction.

I like the idea of that when I look back on RE5. Five years since Umbrella's dissolution, and since Leon put an end to the madness of Osmund Saddler.

In Umbrella Chronicles, they changed her gun to a Beretta M93R, like the one Claire uses in CODE: Veronica.

I want the SAA Revolver in this game.

along with the Sparkshot, minigun, super magnum, and flamethrower.

Also, if the the weapon upgrades return, they should make more of a difference than just "damage" "reload speed" or "capacity". Like the rapidfire upgrade to the pistol in RE2.

yha i want the 3 round burst stock for Leons VP70 to make a return, i love using that thing.

the sparkshot was awesome as well i want it to make a return.

but whats the super magnum? i no Leon uses a Desert Eagel and i think Claire uses a Raging Bull.

Desert Eagle combined with Magnum Parts. Wonderful gun with the ability to blow of 10 Zombie heads with one shot.
