  • Bio Hazard 2 PSN Edition Q

OK first of all I bought BH 1, 2 & 3 off the Hong Kong PSN and I have a question about BH 2... When you press the Home button on your controller it has an option to switch discs, but for some odd reason the switch discs option is de highlighted (unselectable). Does anyone here know why I apparently cannot switch discs? Tried searching Google to no avail. Right now I can only play Leon's game..

You can only swap discs with that feature when the game tells you to swap discs. I'd really love to be able to figure out the circumstances for this, as there's a game with no save points at the disc swaps (due to frequent disc swaps) that I have that I'd love to be able to play on the PSP.

Anyway, if you want to switch to Disc 2 - Claire at anytime, hit HOME and go down to the RESET option, it'll give you the option to select which disc you want the game to reset to.

But, yeah, the upper disc change feature is only working/available when the game itself asks you to swap disc. (And it works very selectively and like ass in popstation with non-PSN games, unfortunately No clue what it kind of environment/call it's looking for from the game... initial theory was spin down... but I'm thinking there might be some game specific hacks in the air...)

Have you beaten Leon A yet?

I think that's what it must be...
When I got it, I wondered why there was no character select. So I played through Leon A thinking maybe the option will appear after I beat it. But no, there was still only Leon.
Only then did I eventually press the 'PS' button and find that menu. And yep, the 'change disk' option was available.

The download is GREAT but my big disappointment was that it didn't include 'Extreme Battle Mode' (unless it's available after beating Leon A & B and Claire A & B and HUNK & Tofu 4th Survivor... I havn't done all of that yet).

          Japanese.
          And yes.
But if you know everything about RE2, item names and what they do, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Since I've since lost RE2, my RE3 is dead, and so is my RE1, I might buy these...

Thanks Carnivol, that method worked. For a second I thought I had to buy Claire's game separately.

I've got all the game disks (including multiple editions) but it's better to actually play them from the HDD. It saves wear and tear on both the disks and your laser reader.
I've got all the PS2 games on my PS2 HDD and the 3 PSN downloads on my PS3 HDD.
Also the 3 PSN editions look a little bit better than the disk versions. I'm unable to get the PS1 disks looking as good as the downloads, even with the PS3 upscaling and messing around with my HDTV settings.

They are definitely worth having on your PS3 HDD for the $5 purchase.
