No, all character have the a weaker version of their weakest weapon. All except Sheva tribal who has an mp5 instead of her long bow. Chris STARS has his sig 556

i played a few matches with gradon, mr.spencer and dot, it was fun i had a blast, i was quite most of the time cause im sick. but it was still fun. spencer's mic went out on the 2nd or 3rd round. gradon, won i think 2 rounds and i won 1 and spencer won 1 aswell.
gradon had to get off and dot wanted to take a break.

right before dot ended the game spencer had his mic charged lol.

we gotta play again sometime guys.

Finally got it on the 360 thanks to a fellow on Neogaf who gave me a month gold card free. So yeah, its definitely an unlock. The only stuff I see in here is a 1MB DlcResource.arc file (Capcom's yet uncracked "next-gen" archival format) which contains some folder definitions and likely an icon or two. Next up is SPA.BIN which is the text for the title screen as well as the achievement updates in various languages. Finally, it looks like the actual key is a file called versus.bin, which is 64 bytes.

Mind you, this is on the 360, which had one title update which was 1.50MB. It patched the main "exe" and added online for Mercenaries.

For some reason, the PS3 disc didn't ship with the content on the disc, but was released as a 1.2 update which was around 36MB. But yeah, for sure Versus mode is on the 360 disc and this is just an unlock key and possibly some code they didn't finish by the time it was pressed.

Fun games though guys. Looking forward to playing a bit more.

Anyway, it seems I now have Title Update #3 for the 360. Is there anyone out there who has Title Update #2? Its the only one I'm missing at the moment. Odds of finding that are probably slim though, since you need an XSATA.

Oh yeah, I forgot about this. Heres me laying the smack down on Gradon (Jill), while nemesiswontdie cowers in fear (cause he knows hes next). Ahaha.

It's true though. You don't buy the content on the disc, you buy a license to use it. That's why the game isn't legally yours once you have it, and you're not allowed to backwards engineer, copy, distribute etc etc etc.

One thing that annoys me...how you can't mute the other team in Team Slayers/Survivors, and how they can hear everything we're saying. How are you supposed to talk strategy when the other team can hear everything you're saying? Not only that, but there are a lot of faggots who play this game...not just the assholes who leave early when they're losing, but there are your bigots who spew their racial slurs, the annoying kids who don't SHUT UP and describe everything that's happening to them(OH MY GOD I JUST SHOT A MAJINI OH MY GOD I GOT SLASHED OH MY GOD THIS WEAPON IS COOL HAY WHAT DID YOU THINK OF RE5 WOW WESKER IS THE MAN), and the geeks with their high-pitched annoying voices who talk tough, although those can be found in almost every multiplayer game.

And then there's the kid that Rosey and I ran into tonight...he couldn't have been older than 8 years old. When Rosey asked him how old he was, he said he was going to go to her house and kill her because he didn't like being asked that question. He said a lot of other things that I can't even repeat on here...

Overall, though, I'm enjoying Versus a lot.

I suppose you can invite players to an Xbox Live party if you wanted to talk strategy. Then you can switch between "Game" chat and "Party" chat. For now, that's the best way to do it.
