If we're going on which were more frightening, probably the Ganados because they were a mystery. In RE5, I knew pretty much exactly what they were and what was going on...thanks to RE4. I do enjoy the Majini a bit more, though.

When comparing the two, you need to take into account the different types of monsters...it's not just villagers with hatchets/bottles/wrenches/shovels/poles. You gotta think of the other variations of Type 1 and Type 2 Plagas. Garradors, Executioners, Dr. Salvador, Chainsaw Chuck, et cetera. That's where the comparison is, isn't it? Ganados are made with Type 1 Plagas, Majini with Type 2.

Moving to the regular Majini though, Cephalos are a pain in the ass -- moreso than their RE4 counterparts, I feel. Also, the Wetland Majini are a challenge and quite scary at times, and the Base Majini are challenging as well -- they have assault rifles and grenade vests. The lipless faces of the Wetland and Base Majini are quite freaky when you look at them up close.

Also, I enjoy the fact that I don't know what the Majini are saying. "Wata kulay!" What the hell does it mean? Do I wanna know? I think it's scarier when evil people are yelling at you and you don't understand a thing they're saying. They could be saying anything. After playing through the game 5-6 times and the demo countless times, though, I do kinda wanna know just what they're saying...but the first time through the game, their growling Swahili was creepy. Not to mention the horrifying yodeling noises that the Giant Majini make, right before they jam their size 23 foot through your teeth.

I feel like people are forgetting one very important factor of the Majini -- Kipepeos and Duvalias. That scene in the sewer area when the Kipepeos BUST out of the bodies of the 'dead' Majini is a really awesome scene in RE5. Also, many people say they like the Duvalia as an enemy, and yet I don't see a mention of it in this thread. I think they're a very important aspect in this Majini VS Ganados battle royale. Type 2 Plagas opened up a whole new world of monstrous parasitic organisms.

So, overall, I gotta side with the Majini.

but according to the file that specifies it, the only advantage is quicker gestation. Other then that feature-wise they're the same.

Ganados were scary, and they were easy to handle. I used to let them grab me on purpose to kick their heads off. Tried it with the Manjini, all i did was push him away to be attacked by another Manjini behind me. Manjini are smart. Ganados, not so much.

I realize that, but the Ganados didn't sprout into Kipepeos or Duvalias, did they? There has to be some difference.

but the majini didn't have any insta-head-eating plagas either

and the plagas type 2 version of the chainsaw majini isn't even a quarter of the threat the ganado one was.

The chainsaw Ganado is much better then the one we have in RE5. If you got anywhere near Dr. Salvador, your head was as good as gone, while the Chainsaw Majini will run up to you and give you a 3 second warning before he strikes. I think Dr. Salvador took much more bullets as well.

It only takes 2-3 handgun bullets to stun Chainsaw Majini, that didn't work on Dr. Salvador. Chainsaw Majini is much more slower then Dr. Salvador...and you had to keep your distance away from Dr. Salvador when attacking him, otherwise you'd lose your head.

Alright then, since we're talking about ganados v.s. majini's, here's another one. Who's deadlier, the waterworld Dr. Salvador, or the prison Executioner? I hate both of them lol.

Giant Dr. Salvador is deadlier. And the Chainsaw Majinis (blue and red pants) in Resident Evil 5 aren't nearly as threatening as Dr. Salvador
(Though, it's a nice touch how the blue pants ones stand up and act like an easy variation of Giant Dr. Salvador after you've knocked them down once)

Anyway, the mental scar left behind by the mere presence of SeƱor Pantalones is unrivaled...

Yea when you are in the waterworld and you see that trail of smoke, it's time to GTFO...unless your Krauser of course, then you can just dominate him with your pimp arm. I still haven't fought the red executioner yet.

Majini for me. Especially the ones with the painted faces. They looked pretty badass!

I would have to go with the Majini. Ganados were stupid and the only thing that I thought made them cool is when they were yelling in spanish.
