Wesker is dead; keeping him alive would have been anti climatic. The series needs a fresh start and someone had to go.

I'd say Wesker is dead for good, the original one at least. Then again, Chris, Jill, Leon and the other are good as dead to me anyways, the series is most likely going to get a total reboot which means, new storyline, new characters.

Wesker was in RE5 and RE5 flopped. Which is a shame since personally I think it's a bloody fun game, but you only need to look at the reviews. I'm glad that Wesker's finally out of the picture, it was reaching a point where I was so sick of seeing him. His RE4 and UC incarnations, especially.

I agree that it was probably the best move they could have made, killing off Wesker, despite the fact that I'm going to miss him. And I haven't read any reviews, but anybody can be a critique. Everybody that's played it that I know has loved it. They say it's the best thing since RE2.

I heard that if you play RE5 through only using white eggs, you'll see Wesker hanging under the helicopter in a spiderman costume. don't know if this is true tho.
