Because a GC to Wii port is easy, as its the same hardware basically. Why would they want to rewrite all of the code, rerender the graphics to 1080p (Or remake them totally 3d, or likely even have to remake them even if they stuck with prerendered, since I doubt the detail level is there), spend even more money on sound design, and everything else? It really isn't logical to 'port' either of these games to a newer console, since the game would have to be remade anyway.

And let's face it, very few people actually cared about these games when they came out, so why not sell them for cheap?

I think that's exactly the reason they're bringing them out on Wii. Because so many people didn't care back in the day. The Resident Evil landscape is an entirely different scene now compared to when they were first released, i can see these selling more copies than the originals for sure.

I do wish people would get out of this, 'It's not fair because it's not on my console' mindset. I wanted to play all the games I wanted...so I bought all three consoles. Others can't afford this, and that's fine. You choose one and play what you get. There's no point whining about the fact other systems get other games. There's a market on the wii for it. The other two systems are wasted on these games, though, and I betcha most folks wouldn't touch it when they can grab Gears of Halo and all it's pretty, pretty shooting.
