  • A petition for Resident evil 5 for the PC

Resident Evil 5 has so far only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3, leaving PC gamers out in the cold.
Fans will remember that Capcom released a PC version of the excellent Resident Evil 4.

It was a big blow to all PC fans when it was announced Resident Evil 5 was 360-PS3 exclusive ,when the PC does have a hardcore audience and a big one at that and its the best platform ever as lots of wonderful mods can be made like the ones made for Resident evil 4 .

Almost everyone has a PC and thus the market will be huge and almost all people with a PC would rejoice at the news of Resident Evil 5.

Here is a petition for this :

Dearest Capcom, Resident Evil 5 has so far only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3, leaving PC gamers out in the cold. Fans will remember that Capcom released a PC version of the excellent Resident Evil 4. Yours Sincerely A Die hard Resident evil fan

I hope that the millions of signatures of this petition will show capcom that this game deserves to be on the PC.

that and 99% of the PC version players would actually have illegally downloaded it.

Wasn't there already an official confirmation on a RE5 PC version?

nope, never has been. people just assume because it's a framework engine game that it's going to be released on the PC eventually.

Oh my, you are so wrong here.

If someone wants to run new games on a several year old PC - then yeah, sure, it wouldn't be able to handle the game. But trust me, if someone is a PC gamer, he/she has a modern PC that shits all over next-gen consoles. I really don't want to start platform warz here, but almost all multiplatform games look and run better on modern PC.

So the argument is very bad.

And about releasing the game on PC... Capcom is planning to release Street Fighter IV - a FIGHTING game, genre almost (if not completely) dead on PC, so I can't see why wouldn't they want to release a tpp shooter.
Not to mention, in it's recent financial report Capcom stated, that they will continue to support PC gaming (Capcom is a member of PC Gaming Alliance).

Even if you don't want to admit, you know that they're going to release it for the PC sooner or later.

Dont forget the xbox360 version was leaked to the torrent sites 2 days before release .
If piracy is a problem , they shouldnt be releasing x360 games then

Console games are usually visually optimized very well and often run surprisingly good on low end PCs while retaining (most, if not all of) their stunning visual glory.

Gotta keep in mind that what's packed inside your console isn't nearly as impressive as some of the stuff that's crammed even into a standard package "Family PC" of today. It's just that the fact that the hardware stays the same in the console that allows the developers to easily take full advantage of absolutely everything, without worrying about the possibility of an increase/decrease in available hardware resources. Another thing is also the fact that they also often have to keep coming up with new audio-visual techniques to make things not seem outdated or handicapped by the old hardware.

No official announcement, but one of the guys from CD-Projekt (the company that handles Polish localization + possibly publishing and localization for some Eastern European countries for Capcom) said there was a PC version in the works too. The availability of PC versions of a lot of games is big business in the eastern European countries, so unless he just had a slip of his tongue, it should be considered as valid and reliable confirmation.

Pirate solutions on the 360 aren't even comparable to the easiness of pirating applications on a PC (not to mention how they aren't even nearly as widespread as such "solutions" have been on previous platforms such as the PS1 and PS2). To pull it a bit out of proportions and not really use any actual data or anything; you could almost say 1/100 is a pirate on the 360, while 99/100 is a pirate on PC.

Yeah i'm loving that the 360's piracy problem got compared to the PC's haha.

And also loving that someone actually believes a PC couldn't run RE5! Brilliant!

Onto the facts...RE5 will inevitably get a PC version, so why bother with a petition? Also, Capcom once mentioned in an interview that there'd be a PC version, and the site in question had to remove the mention of it soon after.

I hope that the millions of signatures of this petition
                        63 down...

Online petitions fail 99.9% of the time. It's a big thrill getting a few signatures though

Look the fact of the matter is , piracy is happening on both platforms on a large scale , if you dont believe me ,then go check out the torrent sites of thousands of x360 gamers downloading the re5 game thereby causing huge losses to capcom . How is that 1/100 ?
