    No one is denying that it's a problem.

    Sure his figures are way off, but it's still a much bigger problem on PC than it is 360.

    That's not opinion, that's fact. Just looked on one well known dirty filesharing site, and there's 30 seeds for RE5, compared with over 1000 for Crysis Warhead.

      It's gonna happen. We already have RE1 to RE4 on PC, why wouldn't RE5 appear?
      It's not like Capcom is gonna let the money slip by, even with piracy.
      A PC can't handle RE5... wait, can any console handle Crysis?

        As for the numbers you see on whatever torrent site you're looking at, remember;

        A: There's a creepy amount of people that just downloads to download. These don't play most of the stuff they download anyway.

        B: There's a lot of people who download and then purchase

        C: Then you have the remaining who download and play. Depending on their mod solutions, some of these may or may not still have access to LIVE and may or may not have bought Versus.

        Now, the remaining people who download and play, and never paid a dime, must be run up against the sales of the game. (Some tracker has a way to let you see the amount of registered "completed" downloads. Do not mistake the amount of downloaded copies of the torrent file with that number. Now, if you look at that number, then try to compare it an active torrent for a AAA PC release from around the same time. I looked at one for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II... the difference is huge.)

        Exactly.

        But, yes, anyway, Resident Evil 5 PC will probably happen. At the end of the day, the benefits of being able to do such a quick port job easily are in Capcom's favor. Of course, they could always just set down the foot and say "Y 'ello thar, me pirate ma'ties! You's be ruinin' all ta' fun for them not-pirates! No ArrrrrEee faive for ya all! Good day!"
