I don't see why anyone would consider either canon. They're trash and nothing in any other game even comments on them. Survivor at leas thad the RE0 Prologue. What does Dead Aim have?
Love how you completely avoided my question. There is nothing to state that Dead Aim isn't canon. It expands upon Umbrella's activities after the fall, how they tried in vain to shift the blame away from themselves and place it on one man. Leon in Degeneration is continuing his search for Umbrella's scientists, and in Dead Aim it shows why that is necessary: Because even with the company being destroyed, there are still people with their hands on the viruses and BOWs.

You call it trash most likely because of the gameplay and can think of no other reason why the story itself or the connection to the rest of the games isn't canon. Next time, support your arugment with something other than your opinion.

Hey, I've been ignored a whole bunch of times in this thread. And after making witty pizza references too.

However, I gotta agree...until someone can show otherwise Dead Aim has to be considered canon. There's no reason to think it isn't, unlike the, 'What if?' nature of Outbreak or the, 'We didn't make it and don't care' nature of Gaiden. As awful as some parts of Dead Aim were and such there is currently no reason to think it isn't canon.

        You make valid points.

I'll go sit in the corner.

For what it's worth, I loved that analogy.

Love how you completely avoided my question.
What question? To prove that it isn't canon? I can't. No more than i can prove God doesn't exist.
It's your duty to prove it is canon and that God does exist. Though I'll give you a pass on the second because I believe He does.
          I can't prove a negative.

how they tried in vain to shift the blame away from themselves and place it on one man.
You mean the glaring inconsistency where a file says Morpheus was responsible for the Mansion Incident or whatever?

Leon in Degeneration is continuing his search for Umbrella's scientists, and in Dead Aim it shows why that is necessary: Because even with the company being destroyed, there are still people with their hands on the viruses and BOWs.
I think RE5 and the whole BSAA shows that way better than Degeneration or Dead Aim.

You call it trash most likely because of the gameplay and can think of no other reason why the story itself or the connection to the rest of the games isn't canon.
Oh the story...where you can combine the T and G Virus to make a virus that gives you electrical powers and changes your sex.
What could be wrong with that plot I wonder.....

Pardon if I just find it sickening to have the two best viruses in the series, made by two of the series most mportant villains, mashed together by a fodder villain in a terrible game.

I also call it trash because of it's terrible voice-acting.

What? There's nothing to suggest Dead Aim isn't canon and it's regarded as canon by the fanbase. We can't just assume a game isn't canon because no one has proved it is. Every game is canon unless stated otherwise. GS2: CV isn't canon, the only canon part of that is the fact that Claire had a dream. Gun Survivor, Dead Aim and the others are all events which are supposed to have actually happened. Please don't start with the whack comparisons again. Comparing Dead Aim's canonicity and the existence of God are two completely different things, much like RE4's script and the work of Shakespeare.

Until Capcom actually gives a statement one way or the other, it isn't anything.

                  EDIT:
Actually, what about the RE Archives? Does it say anything about DA in there? I believe the second one came out after Dead Aim.

...what? That's stupid. It's canon until Capcom says it isn't. It's not like Outbreak, which was specifically a "What If?" series. Surely it's canon until Capcom says it isn't?

Well I guess there's a lot of Dead Aim fans here.
Okay, it's canon. Not like we'll ever hear or see anything from it again anyway.

Nope. Dislike Dead Aim even more than RE4. A bit better than Gaiden. Thing is, though, just because I don't like it doesn't mean it's not canon. Until Capcom says otherwise or it directly messes up the main storyline it's gotta be considered canon. You can't simply assume a game isn't canon until Capcom says it is. That's nuts.

                          whoa! claim down ...

in any Direct cannon Re-games from 1-5 does it talk about any characters from dead aim ? no Dead aim is a filler reason is that is well capcom wants more money which anyone would buy right its the NAME of (Resident Evil ) its just for Entertainment lets say capcom made a shooter 2 guys running around with guns & shooting stuff and named it Resident evil
and it nothing to do with the story would you buy it?
so yea Re: dead aim is a sadly filler just for us to have more Re for us & more money for capcom its all money & entertainment

Just because it's "filler" doesn't mean it didn't happen, and that's where the root of this ridiculous argument is. "I don't like this, so it's not canon." A lot of people have the same feelings about UC. Fact is, when spin-offs are made, there are gonna be questions into what's canon or not. All we have to go on is what Capcom officials have to say about what's canonical and what is not.

Until we're told otherwise, Outbreak, Umbrella Chronicles, Dead Aim and other spin-offs are canon. I'm not sure if any of these were confirmed or unconfirmed, I'm just listing the spin-offs I can think of.

I didn't say it's not a filler, and I'm quite "calm", thank you. We're talking about the issue of it being "canon", not being a filler or not. To dismiss a game as being canon simply because Capcom haven't said if it is canon or not is ridiculous. I could apply the same logic to any numbered game, hell, even Resi 5. I'm not a Dead Aim fan, I've never even played it, but that doesn't mean it's not canon.

So now it has become necessary for Capcom to have to look at each one of its games and say if its canon or not? Please. Now you're just grasping. Look at how many years have passed since DA and RE5 have been made. Of course one is going to tell a better story. Never once did I use a personal opinion about liking the game or its story. All I said was that it was canon until Capcom proves us otherwise. And I don't remember seeing RE4 in the archives and that was already out at the time of its publishing.
