I pre-ordered the remake before I even had a gamecube, then got fired. So, I couldn't play the remake for like 2 months while I saved up for the gamecube, got a cool remake shirt out of it though. I was so happy when I heard zero was coming out on GC as well because as much as I loved the remake (and it's still my fav RE game), it made me feel better that I didn't buy the whole system for this one game. I still think it's an underated game, and deserves more respect for it's graphics, being the first RE game where you can discard items at will, the character switch system, good background story of Umbrella, etc. Let's face it, most prequels never stand a chance at living up to the rest of the stories in a series. Unless of course your talking about a prequel that was actually planned out at the same time as the original stories, such as Star Wars: Episode 3. Obviously, Zero was thrown together years after the original story, and for being such, I think it was decent addition.

RE0 is the weakest from the entire series (even worst than CV or RE4) I don't know... I didn't live up to my expectations... you know that a game is not good when there's no enough replay value... and RE0 suffers from that problem... there's not excitement of playing it all over again... you get tired of it. But on the other hand, REmake is superb... a master piece... no matter what some people say, is the best from the series. Characters were ridiculous, though Billy was really good. Rebecca didn't match in all of this at all.. it would've been great if Enrico would've been the leader and Rebecca work as a supporting character... she's not the particular kind of hero you would love to control.. I beated most of the game with Billy I hardly swaped to Becca...

Zero's not a bad game, at all. Just about everything in it was is decent in my opinion. The only bad thing people have against it is it's story, and some would also say it also had a lack of original creatures. However, those are the only things wrong with it. It's a good game, it's just not for every Resident Evil fan. And yes, I also agee that the remake is an masterpiece lol.

By all means man, the original was a masterpiece. The only reason I like the remake more(and barely more than the original), is because it took the game that I love more than anything and just updated it, but in a good way unlike most remakes lol. It simply took the plot and characters, than polished, composed and re-scripted(aw, no more cheese) to make it Mikami's true vision of what he couldn't achieve with the technology back in 1996. From the opening movie, to the end credits...it's a thing of beauty

I think RE0 is a terribly underrated game. i think it's brilliant and i loved every bit of it.

what's there not to love?

i couldn't care less about the story, it's and RE game, it's not about story, it's about gameplay. besides RE has always been B grade in the story department so RE0's story was no letdown.

anyways i thought RE0 was awesome in every way.

As I said, I thought it was a decent game that was highly underated. Although as much as I enjoyed it, I will NEVER be able to accept that game as being the "first" in the series, even timeline wise lol. I liked to just think of it as an extra bonus, and just a exspansion pack to the remake lol.

The last couple of days I've started playing through it again for the first time in YEARS, and I've gotta say, I'm really liking it! It's becoming one of my favorites.
