is gamestop trying to rip me off?

i went to gamestop today and i seen they had
REmake
RE2
RE3 and RE0

i picked up RE3 for the GC and i was gonna buy it untill i looked at the price $27.99!
RE2 had the same price as well!

REmake was only $19.99 and Zero was $14.99

can anyone tell me why the GC versions of RE2 and RE3 are more exspensive then the remake of RE1?

Capcom manufactured much less units for 2, 3, and CVX than they did for REmake and RE0 because they didn't think the ports would sell as well (understandably so, as there have been at least two previous versions of each). Now that they're in sparse quantity, the GC versions of 2, 3, and CVX remain at the $30 price range or higher. CVX in particular is the hardest to find. It goes for $60 on amazon used.

Yup, it's insane. Maybe when day when I have a large of amount of money to throw away I'll try to pick them up but it'll be sometime before that happens, and they'll probably be twice as exspensive by then.

ebay, theres people on there who'll sell them for about 20 a pop. or you can bag all the games for about 100 bucks if ya lucky enough for the GC

Well, they were each (RE2 and RE3) going for $40 at Gamestop, until recently.

Yea I saw 2 and 3 for about 25 a piece but I still didn't buy them because when you only have like 30 bucks to your name, you really don't feel like spending it on a game you already have lol. I should have bought them though to save me future trouble.

I remember about a year or two ago, the sealed version of RE2 or RE3 for the Gamecube sold for about $200~300 bucks... It was crazy!

really collect RE stuff except for the figures.
