When I first played RE4 and Krauser mutated his arms, I thought he might have had some t-virus experiment run on him rather than plagas (as he wasn't buddy buddies with saddler).

Krauser was ok, probably one of the better rounded characters in 4, his fight always used to be challenging for me. But he's likely gone but not forgotten.

i prefer to think he is virus infected rather than plagas. For some reason being Plagas infected kinda downgrades you in my book of favorite enemies....just call me nostalgic if you will

I think he had a Plagas. It looked like a Plagas mutation. It acted more like a Plagas mutation than an T-Virus one (a single, limited mutation rather than mutliple ones), and, of course, Saddler was in the habbit of infecting all his main hench folks with Plagas, and would likely have done so to help ensure Krasuer's loyalty.

And you'd think someone would have mentioned some important detail like, 'And Krauser was infected with a completely different virus to every other enemy in the game.' The two main bits of evidence against Plagas are that Saddler didn't trust Krauser, but really, given his own level of Plagas power I don't think he'd consider Krauser a big deal. And that Ada and Wesker were aware of it, but since Krauser was reporting to Wesker that's hardly a shock.

yeah but i do get the feeling that krauser also had a little more than plagas. he also didn't act like the other plagas infected enemies, because for the most part they lost there humanity once mutated. Krauser remained completely the same, with on hell of an arm.

If Capcom wanted, they could bring Krauser back in a future title. I mean post-RE4.

i remember way back when teaser images of 4 came out, there was speculation that they he was nicolai. I could see Krauser as an Ex UBCS soldier. It would have at least given him a bit more connection to Resident Evil's past

Krauzer was an awesome character although not very original personality wise when Rambo comes to mind but he interesting and perhaps my favorite character in RE4. It would be cool to look into his past with Leon, a friend of mine said that one of the scenarios was confirmed to be in South America so that could possibly be either a scenario where Krauzer and Leon are sent on a mission there after the events of RE2 or maybe it will be a mission where Leon goes after the events of Degeneration. Either way they should bring back Krauzer.

Salazar never lost his humanity. He makes all kinds of comments to you in the fight. There's also the possibilty that Mendez still had his. He didn't speak but he only ever had one line total. Also, It's kind of impossible for Saddler to talk after his mutation so it's also up in the air. All in all, it's possible he just had the same thing they did.

Well really what i was trying to get across is he never became a "monster" it was like he controlled the mutation to only change his arm and nothing more. For the most part, the battle never changed, just used his arm as a blade instead of his knife.

I'd like to see Krauser fight Chris now that they pretty much have the same body size.

I think krauser was still larger, chris was mostly arms

So I would assume Krauser has a control plaga?

His wing definitely bleeds plaga color, and the actual form has some squirmy tentacles IIRC. It isn't a virus.
