I guess he was... but he was very weak so the only alternative was to stay that way... I guess he could just come back to normal after the fight.

thats a question that i still can't really figure out. I mean when you saw the test subject boss, the tentacles went away completely and the eyes just glowed red but since he was rejected the tentacles took control. the virus wesker has must keep it undercontrol...but thats my 2 cents.

I agree that Wesker was accepted by Uroboros. Any changes to his body after the worms disappear, I believe would have healed in time.

Really though, i kinda wish they didn't have him mutate. That was one of wesker's better points is that he wasn't a monster.

I would assume so because he pretty much kept his human form, compared to order Uroboros victims and was in control of his actions but what do I know?

He was obviously accepted, he didn't turn into a complete tentacle monster and he could still talk and the such, none of the other Uroboros subjects could.
