  • Japanese Guidebooks

I've recently taken an interest in obtaining the Japanese Biohazard guidebooks after having seen a shitload of material from them nowhere to be found in any other source. Most of the series mythology is actually derived from the guidebooks, with information later being regurgitated from the books into other material (albeit, heavily butchered) such as the Archives or the Umbrella Chronicles files.

So, my request is does anyone have any of these books that they'd be willing to sell? Or have access to scans?

Recently retrieved this little lot from my 'rents attic, anything there you might be interested in? Would do a bulk sale if you wanted.

How much money are you interested in selling them?

I have absolutely no idea, but i paid £20+ for each of them, so ideally i'd want to recoup at least half that. (and i know that's a bargain for the one of them!) Thats not including postage, but i can't imagine that being more than a few quid per book.

So if i said £200 that'd be each book for £10, and then £20 for their postage...that seems about right in my mind but i dunno if anyone would be interested in that sort of price!

OR (late edit) Order me my new iPod Touch for £165 from Apple and get a £35 saving! hahaha

The only guides I currently have is the Bio1 JUMP, Bio2 JUMP, and True Story of Biohazard.

I don't know if Biohazard Archives qualifies though?

Here's my collection of RE/Biohazard guidebooks and sourcebooks.

None of them are for sale, but if you have any questions about the contents of any I have before you buy elsewhere, feel free to PM me. I can also possibly take pictures (I don't like scanning them, as it can damage the spines) of some of the contents, but only to give you an idea of what's there.

Just out of curiosity what kind of content and information do these books contain which are not available to western readers?

Background information and such. For example, the R.P.D.'s Select Police Force. Never mentioned in any other material, but originated from one of the RE3 guides.

The development team basically off-load backstory which couldn't be included in the games into the guides.

He just said he won't scan any of them because the spines can get damaged but he would be able to take pictures instead.
