Kill me for it, but I did like the movies. I just try not to relate them to Resident Evil.

Screw that! I relate them to RE. They have the T-Virus. They have zombies. They have Umbrella. Which is more than what I can say for the games these days (though, like I stated before, RE5 did a good job balancing that with actual horror). I just don't think of them as canon to the games. Like Outbreak and Outbreak: File #2. They're not canon by any means, but they're RE, and they're fun.

"It Has the T-Virus" Re 4 may have the T-virus (Krauser)
"It Has Umbrella" Umbrella, while technically dead, was in it by the means of Ada, Krauser, and Wesker's attempts to resurrect it
"It Has Zombies" While I can give you this one, Re 4 was still loyal with the mentioning of Zombies, Zombie-like Parasite infested Villagers.
RE 4 was also created by the guy who made Resident Evil, so in a sense, it is a Resident Evil.

But on the debate of this issue, I have only two agressions on the movies
1. They have The Resident Evil name, they are good movies on their own merits, but not Resident Evil good
2. Many Characters from the games getting changed radically along with the plots of the original games being butchered.

I'd rather they be changed to something else, Like Viral Outbreak or something.

Thanks man, but don't worry about it not worth arguing over, some are for the idea some against. Didn't expect everyone to agree, I am surprised how many have signed the petition though, thanks to everyone that's taking part.
