  • why is brad alive?

why is brad alive in r,e 3 while in two he is the zombie that gives the key when obviously 3 takes place slightly after the second game?

Actually RE2 takes place while Jill is asleep after been infected by Nemesis in RE3.

It doesn't seem like it but she's out for 3 days.

This is the timeline, RE3 happens up until the clock tower fight with Nemesis, Jill gets infected and is out for 3 days. Then the whole of RE2 happens while she's sleeping. Then after Claire and Leon escape, Jill wakes up and the rest of RE3 takes place.

M'hm, that's basic knowledge. Jill's R.P.D section takes place before RE2. Note the dates. September 28th was when the first part of it happened.

When she wakes up after her infection, October 1st, RE2 has already happened and Leon and Claire are gone. That's how RE3 can show the end of Raccoon City with Leon and Claire surviving it.

Three happened before and after RE 2. Its not a true sequel and more of a side story. Really CV should have been RE 3 but thats a whole other can of worms.

RE3 is my least favorite RE game along with Zero you can't go along rewriting history Capcom.
It's like in RE1 Rebecca doesn't even look fazed by her experience in Zero when she meets Chris you would of thought they'd fix that in remake.
Then we come to RE3, nemesis fucked up half the city with his rocket launcher yet in RE2 the RPD barely has a scratch if your gonna go all star wars at least think 3 games ahead so there's no continuity errors.

If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Yes it is, it's a sequel and a prequel in one.

MGS3 is a prequel and still has the number 3 in it.

RE3 deserves a number more than CVX does IMO.

The only continuity error Nemesis made was the window in the RPD, that's all. And i think it was completely worth it because in my opinion RE3 is the best RE game ever made, in fat it's my favorite game of all time.

And anyways, RE3 explains how Brad happens to be there at the RPD in RE2.
Because Nemesis killed him there. That way there is one less loose ending in the RE world, in fact RE3 tied up a lot of loose endings.

Notice when you get out of the RPD in RE3 that Brad's gone. The way I see it, he reanimates while you're going through the station, stumbles on all of that wreckage, falling down the stairs into the tunnel, and then poofs out of existence iff Claire picks up an item a day later (since there's no confusion regarding the fact that Claire A/Leon B is the canon scenario, RIGHT?).

                    Yep, exactly right.

And maybe the reason Brad took so many shots to kill in RE2 was because he was infected by Nemesis himself. The stuff in his tentacles is probably a lot more potent and stronger that the stuff in regular zombies.

Good quote, that could very well make sense. Dam Jill could of been the new Alice if Carlos didn't save the day

A better question might be "how". You know, since Nemesis punched a hole through his brain, that thing that zombies need to live.

CVX deserves the RE3 title more because it continues the canon story. It's set AFTER RE2. RE3 was set around RE2, either just before or just after. It more or less happened at the same time at the same place. A side story. In CVX, you see what happened to Claire post-RE2 and Chris as well. Of course the destruction of Raccoon City is a very important plot point but that was the only important plot point in the game, something much more fitting for a side story. In my opinion, either RE3 should have been a side story, or RE3 and CVX should have both been numbered games and pushed the other numbered games back a little. Or, ideally, RE3 and CVX be RE3 and RE4, and the actual RE4 we did get, that not be a numbered game because it is a side story, even said by Capcom that it's a side story and it never deserved a number in the first place.

Actually it went through the mouth, so It probably only went through the spinal cord. That would be why Brad would die, but still reanimate.
