Tried to do all the games together, but it ended up being too difficult for me to break down, so I did them separately.

      Main Titles

      REmake
      RE5
      CVX
      RE4
      RE0
      RE2
      RE3
      RE1 (still love it, though!)

      Side Games

      Outbreak
      Dead Aim
      Outbreak 2
      Survivor

        RE 5
        RE Remake
        RE 0
        RE 4
        RE CVX
        RE 2
        RE 3
        RE 1

I think the voice acting gets better everytime a new game comes out so by RE 6 or 7 there should be nothing to complain about.

Well, all I know is that my two choices for best are the original game because it's so bad it's good and Code Veronica X, because of the Ashford twins.

To be honest, I've always considered the terrible voices to be superior to the good voices, simply because you don't tend to notice the good acting as much as the terrible, funny and downright stupid acting. Quirky voices for the win. XD

Not to mention people tend to do speedruns in their subsequent playthroughs and in the later games cutscenes can and will be skipped.

If you're playing the PSX versions of 1-3 NO SKIP FOR YOU. Thus, people tend to remember "Running away like that was reckless and STUpid;" "Stop it. DON'T OPEN that door;" and "EEYOAAAAHHH-" (diligent players will remember who uttered that scream).

            Or it's like you said

RE1- It was corny as hell, but actually try and sound like they do in RE1, it's hard.

RE4 - The Quality of the voice acting in this game was actually rather good, the dialog however...

Remake - Great, and got the mood perfect, but a little monotonous at times.

              RE3 - STARSSSSsss.... perfect.

RE2 - Alyson Court is a great VA.

RE0 - Tje voice acting fit the game perfectly.

CVX - I really really love Alexia/Alfred's crazy maniacal laugh in this game.

RE5 - Horrible. utterly horrible Wesker was, everyone else but Sheva was fine though.

Oh come on. REZero had good voice-acting.

And some people are clearly mistaking scripts for voice talent. Jill had a great script in REmake compared to teh other games but her voice was a snore and a half.

Exactly. While Zero may be near the bottom on my list, it is by no means a game with terrible voice acting; it's just that the others above are even better.

And I knew coming into this thread that there'd be all kinds of people marking 4 at the bottom because they don't know the difference between voice-acting and dialogue/script.

In fact, I'd argue that in spite of having to read off some awful lines "Your right hand comes off?", Paul Mercier as Leon is one of the better performances in the series, if not one of the best. And as much as people hate them, the actors for Salazar and Saddler did their jobs properly and without a hitch. They came off exactly as they were supposed to.

You have got to be kidding me. Seriously. I know you dislike the game but how on earth can you diss the voice-acting? It's pretty universal that RE5 had some of, if not THE best voice-acting in the entire series. DC Douglas was magnificent as Wesker, Roger Craig Smith was the perfect voice for Chris and Nina Fehrens was nothing short of exceptional as Excella.

                        I really hope you're confusing 'dialogue' and 'voice-acting' because if you're not...ugh.

It seems to me people are confusing dialogue with voice acting. 4 and 5 are at the top for me when it comes VA alone. RE5 voice acting was extremely good, and i love hearing D.C. Douglas.

                            REmake, RE0, RE4, RE5 - I really can't say anything bad about any of those game's VA.

Yeah i agree, Paul Mercier is actually quite a well talented VA in RE4, but he was questionable in Degeneration. To bad his dialog didn't fit the game.

Nope, I hate D.C Douglas with a passion, worst Wesker VA ever. He doesn't sound right for Wesker at all. And is part of the reason i dislike RE5 Wesker so much, i cannot stand his voice, God id rather listen to Steve and Ashley whining for 5 hours than listen to Douglas do his bad Wesker impression.

He only did one line which i thought sounded like Wesker. Which was the one where he mentions six billion cries in pain or something.

All the other acting in RE5 was great though.

I'm pretty sure you're really in the minority on this one.

Douglas's "bad Wesker impression" was in Umbrella Chronicles when he was trying to 'imitate' Richard Waugh and he sounded pretty bad. In RE5 he was able to make Wesker his own, and created what is widely considered to be the greatest Wesker voice ever.
