When Capcom get around to the new Resi reboot, i reckon the company Wesker worked for will be the main enemy in it.
But i still think there wont be anyone familier in it, all characters will be original.

^ Agreed, and that's the way I want it. I'd prefer the franchise to lay the classic characters to rest so that they can go in any "new" direction they want without damaging the original story/characters most of us grew up loving.

YAY! My first post on this site.

Well there is a very vague idea that Wesker could survive. Keep in mind this is a personal theory, and should be taken with a grain of salt: Cloning has already been done in the RE games. I.E Sergei, who's genetics were used to create Mr. X tyrants.

Well I always thought during the one cut scene/flashback Wesker was a little off; when he said "With uroboros I have.....that right." My thoughts is that this Isn't Wesker, and in in fact the clone. Wesker, could have possibly decided to use his clone to test the potential of uroboros virus.
Because why test a virus that you don't know will be truly effective?

Now I'm 50/50 with him staying dead v.s being brought back. If he stays dead good on Capcom for not pulling a marvel and moving on instead of beating the dead horse hoping to milk more cash.
Though, the fan girl in me deeply wishes he'll somehow return. Weather it be an offspring, clone, or him in the flesh.

Wesker should have stayed dead after Tyrant impaled him in umbrella lab.

It's possible, and has been discused. The general concesus seemed to be that a clone wouldn't have carried the hatred for Chris that Wesker did. And the he wouldn't have Wesker's memories. But if they bring back Wesker it's a much better idea than simply having him survive lava. If they do it that way, well, it's not going to endear capcom with the fanbase.

Personally, I reckon another Wesker Child will be around in the next game. RE5 was pretty unclear as exactly how many were dead...if it happened to be all of them or just most of them. And, let's face it, if Capcom said emphatiocally 'they were all killed, each one, Wesker went around and stole each one's blood to fuel his serum' they could still end up going, in another game, 'except this one.'

Quite Frankly, I want Wesker to stay dead
They ruined him in 5, making him your typical villain concerned with a global rule, they should've kept him as the Cold, Terminator-esque man he was in 4 and below.

Let's give another person a chance, how about Trent?
I'd love to see him in the games, maybe tie up Ada's loose ends.

Just one random question about Wesker.

Wasn't he suppose to appear in Resident Evil 1.5 as one of Birkin's mutations? I saw some concept art somewhere that had him as literally a part of the game's final boss. I wonder if there's anything more to that? If he was going to be in 1.5, then he probably would have had a completely different fate. Nothing's mentioned about that at the BioFlames forums.

                  I totally agree with this.

Wesker was only cool before RE5. He just sucked badly in RE5.

Wesker was completely out of character in RE5.

That was not Wesker, that was generic comic book villain #485638945.

Wesker in RE5 makes no sense at all. No sense. It's not logical.

                        • I thought it made sense for Wesker to act as he did. Or as close to it as Capcom are capable of achieving. He's shown throughout gaining more power, more money, more viruses. It makes sense that given his narcissistic nature and the power he possessed that he would take up Spencer's God complex. The only real problem was the way he went about it wasn't too logical.

Wesker never really was the most logical guy when you think about it. Considering he decided 'hey, it's a good idea to use this experimental virus on myself and then get impaled by a Tyrant...'

                            • See, I wouldn't of minded the whole "Conquer the world" Plan if he had just executed it better, in 5, he executed it horridly and became overly emotional.

If he stuck to his guns and remained the Cold, T-1000 Man he was, he could've killed Chris, Sheva, and anyone else who tried to go against him. He could've conquered the entire world by placing puppet leaders in the highest government positions, who he controls.

That way, he wouldn't of had to rely on a horrid parasite and he could've just stayed in the shadows like he always has. If you want me to put down some errors that Insane Wesker (Wesker in RE5) did, just ask because I can.

For example, instead of waiting for Chris and Sheva and throwing them around like ragdolls, he could've just got some good ass Snipers to blow their heads off, that way he wouldn't of had to worry about a Steroid abusing man coming to ruin his plans.

                              • As for memories and hatred for Chris, the memories could be simply a red haring, Or unreliable camera. It would be easy to get the clone to dislike Chris.
He's (Chris) out to kill/capture (clone) Wesker. Not only that but screwing up the only chance for whatever the original Wesker was going to give him.

Again only theory, Wesker in all likely hood is dead. Only a possible offspring or a left over-maybe even perfected Wesker child will take over.
