I've actually listened to a Biohaze podcast, where the people from Biohaze have submitted questions by Chris Kramer. And I heard that at some point, when somebody on podcast mentions Wesker's death in RE5, Kramer himself stated that he doesn't believe Wesker is really killed off for real.

But then his knowledge of Resident Evil/Biohazard series can be pretty poor, so what the hell does he know?

Just look back several pages. Capcom confirmed his death, so yeah he must not know much.

He obviously was teasing, I was there when doing the podcast (it was recorded a few weeks later RE5 was released). For now, Wesker is officially dead and I doubt they'd change that in the future just to appease a bunch of fans...

In all fairness, fans wanted "moar Jill sub-scenarios like Separate Ways" and look what we got: TWO DLC SCENARIOS FEATURING JILL!... So I can't see why Wesker wouldn't get the same treatment (he's even featured on LiN... as the flashback is all about him stabbing torsos ). So who knows... I just want prequels... Wesker's coffin for future games was nailed shut with RE5.

I hope Wesker is featured in a few new cutscenes durin LIN, even a small one would be nice. I liked to see him infiltrating the estate, but I'm not counting on it. A cutscene of Spencer would also be appreciated since we waited 13 years to see this mysterious guy and he dies in like 30 seconds lol.

Well, if you look at the new trophies/achievements one of them is similar to the standard re5 in that you have to deal a set amount of damage to Wesker, so I'm sure we will have a few cutscenes featuring him.

Yep, even though it may be a recycled cutscene from the flashback in RE5 lol. Guess I'll have to wait another couple hours to find out.

I thought the exact same thing myself. With the way how Ozwell E. Spencer is finally making is first ever appearance in the Resident Evil games, I expected that he would be in the game a lot longer, but ... oh well.

EDIT: I was referring to the RE5 trailers before the game got released, just in case you got a little confused with what I've written earlier.
