I know. It would just be very hard to market.

I don't see how it's going to go back to it's horror roots the story has to progress and that means more advanced enemies and weapons you can't keep resident evil fixed in the same time frame the story wouldn't progress at all, I think we all now it'll follow the storyline of films where the world will end up engulfed with starvation, drought and bows because all the companies are trying to outdo each over to seek world domination.
The shift from re1 & re2 to nemesis should of told you this your gonna cover larger area's instead of being boxed into a certain building with fixed camera angles and dark lighting.Last edited by kevstah2004; 06-30-2009, 04:44 PM.If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

If he stayed out in the sun too long, he would overheat, possibly even become dehydrated, and he would have to seek shelter to cool off or a water source to replenish fluids.

Not interested in a reboot, I buy Resident Evil games because I liked the Game play, Story & Characters. I don't understand how it can still be called Resident Evil after you take all that away, if they really are that short of idea's then just end it. I think that there is so many lose ends in the overall story they have enough to make another 3 or 4 games. Changing the cast is a big move on Capcom's part and I dont feel they have finished the current story yet. So why start another story when you didnt even do the first one right.
I'm not spending another 10 years following this series to get to the end and say "I can't be assed anymore let's reboot everything!"

I kinda even regret buying RE5 now, i think i would have been much happier with Uncharted instead.
And if the RE series does go on forever, one day it will eventually turn into where the Spyro series is now. So i hope RE dies soon.

Yes story is important, but it should never be so important that it starts changing the gameplay around. I hated how RE5 had to be all Coop just because of the damned partnership story with Sheva.

I'm actualy interested in what they would do with a reboot. :]
I wouldnt mind if they finished the series since in my opinion 5 was epicly awesome.
also, if they stopped making RE games....we'd have nothing new to talk about or make halerious speculations over!Last edited by Andyfer_Ruu; 07-01-2009, 06:14 AM.

If the story is set around the gameplay then what will separate it from any other game? nothing you might as well be playing any over game simply sticking resident evil on the box cover doesn't make it a resident evil game take resident evil 4 for example. If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

That is how i can differentiate Silent Hill Origins from Gran Turismo 5 without ever playing or knowing there storylines.
You act as if story has always been the main thing in RE. Story has only been the main part of 2 RE games so far, RE5 and CVX, and they have both had the worst gameplay and were the least scary.

The whole point of following a game series is to bring a conclusion to the story not improved graphics and gameplay this is exactly why resident evil is in the sorry state it is to today because little to no thought has gone into the storyline and when they do come up with one it's a rush job at the last possible minute.Last edited by kevstah2004; 07-02-2009, 08:46 AM.If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Resident Evil could have ended the story of Umbrella after the first game and focused the next game on new threats that S.T.A.R.S. members must solve in Raccoon City like any plot from Scooby Doo.
