I've never bought action figures before (I have gotten barbies in the past before though). How big are these again? Sheva's face is horrible for the Hot Toys. She just looks like a white woman.
Yeah, these are really really expensive though. Can you take off Chris' shirt? I assum so since you see his safari shirt in the Stars display. The only problem I have with the Chris model is that the body needs to be a bit longer in relation to the head size. Ahh! I really want to get it but it's such a waste of money in these economic times... how likely is it to go down in price in the (long) future?

1/6, approximately 30cm... about 12 inches I think.
The figures' skin tone appear to be direct colour samples from the character concept art/renders, as she is quite pale in contrast to some other characters in RE5.
I think you can remove the characters clothing, apparently the bases do have details on them. I can't remember for sure on that, but it's more than likely considering you can swap some bits of clothing around on the BSAA Chris (like remove the kevlar vest and swap it over for his extra shirt).
As for the pricing, probably won't go down quickly. (Considering that Capcom has gotten SE to produce some RE5 figures in a lesser quality, those ones are priced cheaper and would be the most likely ones to be mass-produced over time, in contrast to the HT ones due to the higher quality and higher pricing to match the level of quality). I think it's a little bit much considering the currency conversion rate, but the initial $130 USD pricing seems quite fair. After the production, the price will probably skyrocket on the figures - I'm just making an assumption after what I saw with the other Hot Toys, Moby Dick, Palisades Toys and other past RE figures.
BTW, I'm not complaining about Sheva's skin tone, I mean her facial features. It looks nothing like Sheva from the game. Chris and Wesker resemble their game counterparts but the Sheva figure looks really off (face-wise).

Sigh.. prices will only sky rocket?
Close up, the Sheva one does resemble a render in-engine.
(Have a look at the photos on Kotaku when the HT figures were announced).
They might go down, but it depends on how popular the figures are and how long they are in production. So they could go up or down, but I think the S.T.A.R.S. Wesker, Midnight Wesker and S.T.A.R.S. Chris will probably go up due to popularity. *Shrugs* That's just my opinion on it, so you'd have to keep an eye on them once they've been released (as all current sales are simply pre-orders for the figures).
Has ANY of them been released? I'm a bit confused. Has anyone here posted a "review" with more pics? The BSAA Chris and Sheva are already out, right?
No, they have not been released. NONE of them have, all current "sales" of them are fully paid pre-orders + import fee to ensure that one gets the figure they want (currently only BSAA Chris, Sheva and Midnight Wesker have been available for the pre-order, the S.T.A.R.S. Chris, Safari Chris, S.T.A.R.S. Wesker having just been announced have not been put up for pre-order to my knowledge).
The release date for the ones currently on pre-order was sometime in Q3 2009 (I can't remember the exact date). All photos of them have been either - promotional images OR photos from the display case for the first display/announcement. Which is what those photos are, meaning that there will be some better photos up soon.
Those G.I. Joe figures bases are generally created and carved out via a computer from a set digital design, whereas the Hot Toys ones bases have been hand carved and are by far more detailed and are some of the most realistic figurines I have ever seen.
Considering that there have been crappy ones, blown out past $200, the HT ones seem to be of a fair price in my opinion Umbrella Corpse.
i agree...but than again these just came out and the others have been out a while so in a year these are going to be twice to threee times the price.
the only one i will be paying that price for is leon r.p.d and if they make jill or claire.
EDIT: after looking more closely, i also really like the stars chris and wesker.
but ultimately i will only be albe to afford one.
