I'm at a complete standstill. I, for one, loved both RE1 and RE2's soundtracks.
I love RE1's OST for its cheesiness and ambiance, and for sounding somewhat like Mega Man Legends in some parts of the game (Something I highly appreciate as a fan) and, most of all, these kickass Japanese and Overseas ending beats, "Yumede Owarasenai" & "Still Dawn", respectfully.
For RE2, I loved how there is a greater variety of music for all the different areas in the game. Plus, the beat "Escape From Laboratory" created the greatest highlight of series for me. It created the adrenaline for survival when you escape to the train before and after you face Birkin's mutation. I also enjoyed those 4th Survivor music tracks. What's nice to know is that those were allegedly created for 1.5. The more you know. ;
I must state that I've never played any other RE game after 2, just so you all know.
