This may not deserve a new thread, but I think he might be teasing us again. Very random if you ask me... And for a look at him, read the thread. He "claimed" to have it, releasing some convincing camera cell phone quality pictures. Can someone please clear this up for me?

I don't think it's him, just someone who's trying to give him a bad name. As for the pictures, none of them were new as far as I know (old magazine scans, screengrabs from videos).

For some reason, I had a feeling of déjá vu while reading that thread (as if it was a parody of the PSM incident).

If it was the Curator he wouldn't need to rely on previously released stuff for his images to claim as his own. I doubt this was the Curator. I think it was inspired by the ammount of 1.5 talk on the forum at the moment.

If he is or is not the Curator makes as much of a difference as the fact that he may or may not have the game: We ain't gonna get it this way anyway, so just let it go.

No. All the images he showed were common magazine scans and video screenshots that you can find online if you look around. He was just trolling the forum for attention big time. Even using his alternate account Dark Gaia to have a conversation with himself. Nothing special.

On the images he posted, they were linked to a photobucket that was something like /Dark_Gaia_Productions/ or something, which was promptly changed to /Collector12345666/
One I realised how dumb he was, I let the correct people know, and both accounts got banned. I actually realised long before I asked him that question about providing 2F and 1BF maps, just to see what he'd say.

Definately not the curator. Just some sad muckraker.

Somebody care to explain the story here? That thread in the first post was REALLY interesting. How dare the moderator just lock it? I searched for Dark Gaia and his other threads here didn't have anything to do with 1.5.

It was Dark Gaia.
On the images he posted, they were linked to a photobucket that was something like /Dark_Gaia_Productions/ or something, which was promptly changed to /Collector12345666/

Dark Gaia = The Collector. He registered as a new member and claimed to have RE 1.5 and, to make the topic more interesting, started to talk with his another account (Dark Gaia).
Also as Alzaire has pointed out, screens he provided weren't captured by him but were from old videos or magazine scans. Not to mentioned, various resolutions and quality of screens he provided should also ring the bell that there's something wrong (he did an off-screen of gameplay but managed to do a clean picture of inventory and map screens).

As others have said, he didn't own 1.5 and was using stolen photos to try and convince people he did. Also, both the accounts Dark Gaia and The Collector were the same guy. In essense...everything he said in that thread was crap, either garnered from other sources or made up. Hence why it was locked.

Really though if you have a concern with a member or want to know why they were banned you should use the ban topic or PM a mod. Making a new topic about it just brings more attention to the dumb things the bannee has done.

If you want interesting 1.5 discussion, you should hit up Bioflames, not an attention seeker's topic using fake pics :p.

The pictures are not the same, they show the same menu but the one from the magazine have a grain effect, take a look at the comparison picture (the resolution are different but this doesn't matter)



He maybe took it from another source

It is the same image. Admittedly the one on SurvirHor doesn't look as nice, and I'm guessing he cleaned it up somehow (or got another version) but it is the same image. He's cropped it so the bits from the magazine don't show up but everything else is the same...the ammount of ammo in each weapon, the items and even the Caution heartbeat is in the exact same location.

You can't believe that he just happened to take a screen shot identical to the magazine and just happened to crop out the parts that would, in the magazine, have some other image?
