It's not a demo. It's a nearly finished unreleased classic resident evil game.

Was this really that necessary? This almost seems like trolling. Don't care about 1.5? Don't post in a topic about it. Especially just to show your ignorance not even understanding it, and then feel some need for a kind of high-horse "get over it" comment.

I would have been happy to explain the basis of 1.5 and why it's important to the RE history and why it's fascinating. But not after your retarded "get over it" comment. Either do your own research or continue to not care about 1.5 and stay out.

While there were rumours of a demo for the game, there never seems to have been actually released.

As for why we won't get over it already...it's a complete Resident Evil game. No a demo, not even a fractured beta, but a game that is playable from one end to the other with some glitches. It had a lot of unique little things about it too, such as grenades, body armour, zombies that acted differently to each other and a a storyline where Umbrella had been taken out of buisness. Rather than dragging it out for the dramatic end seen in RE4, which I know so many people were staisfied by...

Of course, if we had no chance of getting it we would have waved a sad fair well years ago. But it's not impossible. It's a very real possibility. It will just take a little patience and a fair wod of cash.

Ignorance just for saying demo? Chill out.

I'm aware of this version, that it was almost finished, yes i do. I've been watching videos, pictures, artworks. Everything you might know too.
But just the thought of having PSX graphics, bugs, and almost the same structure as RE2, i personally think it's time to let go.
Jesus, how many years have been so far since this beta was announced?

I have no problem with RE1.5 fans and i don't forget i do have the same right as you to post wherever i'd like to. I'm not trolling just because i'm truly against this game. You see?, you don't need to sound agressive to show sympathy to your beta game, although i'm sticked to the idea that it's a waste of time... i respect your fanaticism. But hey, we live in big world, some people don't think like you think they do.

Don't worry to explain, Darkmoon has gently explained everything i wanted to know.

Well, the labs were the same partially the same. They were re-used for RE2. Of course the RPD, sewers, Umbrella office and streets sections were all redone from more or less from scratch. The characters were also different. Kendo and Marvin lived, Chief Irons was a good guy, Ada was called Lisa and was a lab worker...etc. And the labs are only mostly the same. We know there were some extra areas that were cut.

Then there was the differences in gameplay, such as more zombies, grenades and characters often joining you along the way. I think there are scenes where Lisa and Marvin are both fighting alongside Leon in the sewers.

So, it has about as much of the same structure of RE2 as, say, RE1 has. The controls are similar. Locations, enemies, characters, weapons and story? All different. Which is part of why people are so interested. The other part is seeing the game itself. We got quite a lot of stuff before the game was scrapped and, well, I wanna know how the game played out. I wanna see the storyline that would have ended the franchise so quickly rather than dragged it out.

As for the bugs...the game is playable, one end to the other, without debug. I'm pretty sure there are games released today that aren't much better. And graphics? Hell, I still play PS1 games, so no issue there.

But, didn't they say that the only playable version was thrown out?
I see your point, and it wasn't my intention to troll, as someone said above.
it's just that i don't see it that way... it's been years since we've been waiting for this game that i might've given up... but to be honest, i've never been interested in this unreleased version anyway.

No, the only playable version wasn't thrown out. Capcom may have slung there versions but they sent out a number to Japanese games magazine for review. Those are still out there...and of course, so are the copies of those discs. Heck, apparently a Capcom moderator was allowed to play the game, and somehow the Curator got to play a copy.

Games is out there. We just need to get hold of a copy.

And not everyone is that interested. That's fine. But honestly? Right here, right now I'd pay four figures to own 1.5, safe in the knowledge I'd get at least a good chunk of that back from the community if I needed to and, more importantly, for my own satisfaction. It's not something we're just gonna give up. You can think me crazy but the idea of a Resident Evil I haven't dominated...an old school one at that, with such awesome features and an untold story...damn, I'd pawn your soul for this game. I'd pawn it so fast.

Yeah, Alone In The Dark for Wii is a pretty damn good example...

RE 1.5 has always been a fascinating theme for me. It's the holy grail of the Resident Evil community. It's a shame that we can't get it even if we demand it (I mean, I would pay FULL RETAIL PRICE for a game that was developed 10 years ago)... Still I think if it gets released it will lose all of its mysticism. I'll keep my fingers crossed, maybe some special task force could raid Capcom's dev studios and steal it
