The RE2 beta background in question is most likely fake. I've never seen it before, but I do know someone photoshopped a few backgrounds and images when faking an early beta. This might be leftover from that. But I am not sure in the end.

The image with the journalists playing 1.5 is from a Japanese Famitsu magazine. This is basically the private journalist review demo that I've referenced before.

Ahahah. Those. One of my favorites is missing, though, the one showing the RPD staircase.


Anyway, the authenticity of those "Beta v1" pictures have been questioned many times, a lot points towards old photoshops/a hoax. The only source for them was (if memory serves me right) an anonymous "contributor" at one of (if not the original) versions of "The Right Game" (a former RE fansite of the past)
