what you've never seen the Raccoon City map before?
I believe a game on residentevil.com when outbreak was released (file 1 or 2 im not sure) you could pick one of the character and choose options and see if you could make it out of the city and it showed the Raccoon City map.
Yes, that picture is a camera shot of the map in archives.
It's been used in a few Japanese guidebooks too. It's nothing new. I too remember the outbreak online game that used it too.
You make me sad that all of our content isn't being used. ;_;
As for the map itself, it was first in the Japanese pre-order bonus "SURVIVAL" book for RE3. It was then used in the Fulfillment Of Her Escape guidebook (the Archives uses this one), and later as an Outbreak File 2 flash game.

Yes, it was file 1, there was a marina, you could escape by boat. The US site has been deleted. I can't find the game on the japanese site which is still active. There was a high school and a mall, etc...

ok cool at least i wasnt the only one who remembers that. I didnt know there was a school or anything i just played the Raccoon city level.
thanks for the info i wasnt sure if it was file 1 or 2
The map from the Outbreak Flash game was the largest available map (at the time), although some areas don't match up the roads/streets in the map from say Biohazard/Resident Evil Archives, though... Still pretty neat to look at.
Saw this topic and thought that I'd have a go at doing my own version of the map from Archives, unfortunately for the map, I have the Japanese version of the book, so can't read the place names, can somebody point me in the right direction for a scan of the english version of the same map?
EDIT
Oh! And in case anybody is interested, here is a 300dpi scan of the map from the Japanese Archives!
