Ah. I must be thinking of the remake keys.

It's been ages since I'e played the original, and when I do, I never play as Jill.

Jill uses the lockpick on the piano room though and it's the sword key, Chris get's it from the save room on the bed after seeing Rebecca.

When you start the game as Jill in original mode, after talking to Barry in the hall, go to the dining room. Then, go to the piano room without looking at Kenneth's dead body. Play the piano, then run to the left stair's save room. Save the game and put all your weapons in the chest. When you go to leave, Barry should enter and update you on the mission.

    Hint: Play as Barry:
When you meet Barry in the underground chamber and he asks that you both team up, say "No". He will walk away. Continue with the mission. When you get to the Spider Boss before going into the room, a intermission sequence will show Barry coming through the other door. He will say "Jill, wait!". He then says, "Let me handle this!". Barry will walk into the room, and you will take control of him for the Boss fight.
You can't enter the piano room, it's locked. IIRC with the armor key.

AFAIK Barry's never been playable (ignoring DS multiplayer). Since the first 'hint' is bullshit, I wouldn't be suprised if the second one is too.

    Anyone know if these work?
I tried the first one but it didn't work, I seem to remember it happening in the over save room with the itembox and chemical. I couldn't do the other one because I thought it meant say no twice which kills Barry in catacombs :-(
got a bad ending time, I got stuck on a few things and ended up wandering about for ages.

Message from Barry :-P doesn't Chris get a nasty message from Wesker instead telling him to die or something?

Sorry to take a while to reply to this, been away for a week. No crows, just zombies. I looked through my REDC pics, but I don't have anything. But it's the small 'upside down T' hallway outside the attic where Yawn is with three stairs leading up, between that room and the room where Richard is found. I guess given what you also showed of the "super zombies" issue, the tightly packed multiple zombie area this is causes further issues should you get stuck.

...so, the only way to save everyone is to make sure Jill doesn't wear a uniform or bra and then gamble an awful lot? Sounds like Capcom.

But they can both be saved in the pachislot version.

Enrico, I didn't have any issues if I ran it in 95 compatibility mode along with SILENCE.wav from Markgrass in the background.
The PC demo of RE2 is the 10 minute demo. What HecRPD is doing is recreating the PSX demo using the PC demo which will be released with the director's cut mod.Kinda like how it was released in 1997 in the US.Thats where dominion came in to help him. Also Check his moddb page of Director's Cut is pretty popular. He has a new video of the mod. It's looking good.

For years a secluded mansion and its grounds have been the site of top-secret biotechnic experiments. The research staff has been funded by a respected (if slightly unethical) corporation named Umbrella. The weekly laboratory reports have been increasingly...

Knifing a Hunter is fairly easy, you just have to use the pause-cancel technique.
Probably almost as lame as jumping down from the ledge in RE4 when mendez stretches to get you. I always hated mendez, till I learned to kill him with just the knife. Half of RE4's knife tactics were a bit lame. Abuse of bad AI.

Well there must be some way to officially knife a hunter. Dogs and zombies are easy. Chimeras are probably a bitch though. Once I get my assignments in. I'm gonna live the DC dream.

Its super lame and I'd never do it, but its kinda interesting to see it done.

Capcom love plot holes. They must be sustinance for them on the long wintery nights.

Don't forget Gaiden. Even though its probably not "Cannon" I'm sure capcom would have waved their little finger about the main protagonist being dead if he never made it out of the mansion.
