It is the same but it isn't the same. It is the same but it isn't the same.

When I get time I'm definately gonna have to go play DC Arranged mode. I don't think I have actually completed it . Might have started once or twice before a decade ago (). Definately gonna have to play the saturn version as well. Damn it. The list of classical games which I want to revisit, yet never have time to do so, increases once more. (High on my list are Koudelka, Silent Hill, Dino Crisis's).

Yup, just like the vid I posted...I think our realities have just become warped from prolonged exposure to the mansion. Remake=Original/Original=Remake

I know it's definitely in the REmake because I remember it (only played it again a week before Christmas). That is most bizarre. Just did it in RE: DS Rebirth mode as both Chris and Jill, both don't have the option to do a switch. Just as it is in the original, you get a message saying "Water is sent from here. The lid is open!", you put the chemical in, and the plant dies. That's it. It must be exclusive to REmake then, but like Dot, I'm sure I've seen it on the older backgrounds before but I've not played any other version of RE1 for a long time. Weird.

Me too. I remember because I did two times before I finally stopped going for the green pipe and it became habit to turn the handle towards the red pipe to kill the plants.

Pissed me off the first two times, too, 'cause that's a lot of health right there.

^ 100% sure it just happens in REmake.

I'll check tomorrow to confirm it's in Rebirth, shouldn't take about 10 minutes just to whizz to get the chemical and get to the plant room.

    Edit: Just checking now.

I'm not sure what part your talking about with this second set of crows and Bile zombies though Rob. Any pics?

I've been popping heads rather regularly with the Beretta, so its quite easy. Still can't figure out that damn fast-fire on BOB.

RES will be, but unfortunately we don't have a proper way to capture yet (unless emulators have advanced).

REmaster, I'm using an Intensity Pro for the PS3. For Saturn, I had to use an emulator (which has some pretty terrible input lag) since my other capture card doesn't work in Windows 7.

Wayne, don't fight them. Just run by. That usually lets you get away with just a smack of the claw from them. I was in orange caution and just chugged at him (zig zag) and he clawed me. I might also suggest playing the +ammo version of arranged by holding RIGHT on the Dpad over Arrange.

Can someone help jog my memory? I thought it was Directors Cut which had the ability to kill off the herbs in the fountain plant room? Or is that Remake that its in?
Out of interest which one did you use Yabause or SSF from what I remember SS emulation is terrible on any system as it has two cpu's and it has a hard time keeping them in sync when emulated you shouldn't have anywhere near the same problem with RES the last time I played it one it was near 100% accurate with no slowdown there's even plugins which although you run it at higher res or full-screen on ngemu

I'm 95% sure it's the DS Rebirth mode (I've not tried Classic mode), because that's the only version of the original I've played recently. I'll check when I have a minute.
I can confirm that it is not in classic mode. I just played RES a few days ago and when you use the chemical on the pump, the plant just dies without harming the herbs.

I'd check for you but my damn battery charger went missing awhile ago, I can only play RE DS for 3 minutes at a time

Edit: I checked some walkthroughs of both classic and rebirth mode but found nothing regarding the herb puzzle. Strange, I also thought it was in DS.

You can catch it @ 2:15 ( Rebirth mode )

It's in REmake and I'm fairly sure it's in RE: DS as well, but I'll have to check that.

@Dot: It's the remake. If you select the wrong water colour during the chemical puzzle the herbs are killed off along with the tentacles.
