If you're talking about the basement of the mansion (after you go down the ladder under Trevor's grave) then yeah, there are a ton of hunters there. That was actually the point where I gave up my Arrange mode play with Chris. Fighting Yawn was bad enough, but then to go down to those impossible narrow halls with a ton of hunters, who keep taking my head off, I started to rage and gave up.

I'd imagine that if you triggered the crows to burst out the window, and then exited the room and re-entered, they'd spawn on the floor, and be easy to kill.

Lessons for next time I guess.

Just out of curiosity Dot, what are you using to capture these playthroughs? Dazzle?

I think Dot50Cal wants to record everything, so without any proper way to capture RES in action (other than wonky DS emulation), I guess that might be (temporarily) off the list at the moment.

It might as well be on classic mode even though those RE4 tweaks will be in it regardless....still....quick knife, 180 turn, and instant reload goes a long way.

Yeah, you're going to hate RE1 when all this is done Dot.

Nope, just as the gif shows - they come out regardless. Between these and some other setups, faster zombies, the fact that Hunters are already hard enough on the regular game let alone this one, and Chris lower health amount in the arranged game, the arranged game is probably the hardest "standard" mode in any title in the series (some exceptions being the Nightmare mode in RE2 Dreamcast and some of the bonus modes in the REmake).

Dot - The other really bad spot like the crows one can be outside the Attic space where Yawn is, although you obviously passed it.

They setup some fast moving zombies just out of shot with the camera angles to ambush you, and even if you're able to make it to the stairs leading to Yawn the zombies can be fast enough and will spit bile at you as you climb... and as you're aware Chris' heath is seriously gimped in the arrange mode too. If you're not ready for it, it sucks.

Jerome - Thats what I recall reading too for the modes. US easy switched arrange is the equivilent of the Japanese one, and the normal is like all other US standards, generally harder than Japan.

As for the 3 zombie thing, that really only counts for using the handgun. If you're using anything else, it's the same level of ammo. It rewards you for making use more of your handgun than say the shotgun on zombies. I can't recall how "random" the handgun thing is though, because I know sometimes you'll have it happen twice in a row. *POP* *POP*

They work fine with the US copies of the game. RE: DC saves (SLUS-00551/90009) work fine with RE: DC dual shock (SLUS-00747) and vice versa

I always wanted my face in something Resident Evil. That would be an epic ban gif. Carn's epic Wolverine sideburns, Darkmoon's manly beard and my blonde ponytail on 3 ban crows of doom!

In REDC, I always heard/read that Training was equal to the Japanese game, Normal equal to the Westerner version, and Advance was the "new" mode.

In Advance, I feel that the new zombies are just a bad joke, because they are the one which head always explode in one gun shot. So it's not "Oh my God, usually there are 2 zombies in this room, and now there are 3 of them, how can I survive?" but really "OK, here are my 2 regular zombies, which require the regular amount of bullets. I just need to remember to save one extra bullet for the new zombie".

Sorry for the rant, but this really annoys me

Classic mode in Deadly Silence isn't really classic. I noticed a big difference in difficulty going back to the PSX version. I think they made the game overall easier for both modes on DS.

I just played through Deadly Silence on Classic mode on both Chris and Jill. The games are a lot easier then I remember them being. Is it just Deadly Silence which is easier or am I now a pro ;). I'm not really that good at the games I just love them so I was surprised I managed to do it so easily.

It needs a photoshopped "You're banned" game over screen. Heck... it should appear on the screen that tells users that they've been banned.

lol. Just beat a Jill training mode.

    Director's Cut TRAINING notes:
    Auto-Aim
Double ink ribbon pickups (6 instead of 3)
Double ammo pickups (for all ammo pickups)
    Weaker enemies
    Player character is considerably tougher
Jill's scenario still has the third chimera in the 2nd boiler room.

Just on save collecting alone I've beaten the game 18 times with the best ending so far. I can't imagine what the actual count is, probably nearly 40 now.

I'm wondering if the "easy" Advanced mode has a penalty, or its own specific save? Anyone care to try? Hold right on ADVANCED and then beat the game. Re-play the New Game + and lemme know if you still have double pickups. If so, fuccccckkkk, thats 8 plays per directors cut copy (including dual shock ones ughhhh).

I wonder if non dual shock saves are compatible with the dual shock version..

Also, holy shit @ fast zombies in arrange mode. Totally wasn't expecting that (or the beretta head pop-age)

    Edit: Ahh fuck.
And if Jill's name is in green, but the rest of the name is red, does that mean it's a easy version of Advanced/Arrange mode
