Beat Saturn as Chris. Almost ran out of ammo because I forgot there are two Tyrant's in the labs. I also didn't save as Chris just to see if I got anything (I didnt) so it was really scary.
Saturn notes:
Some backgrounds are changed. Most notably:
Tyrant Room (Cases are smashed, and a second Tyrant case is there)
The room where you drain the water in Neptune's tank has extra jars on the shelf
The room where you obtain the 003 room key has ARMS written outside its wall now
Chris and Jill have an alternate costume which is only available in the Saturn version
You can change back to your original costume now
BATTLE MODE
A second Tyrant bursts out of a tube in the lab after the first is defeated (it dissolves) when you approach the console
The sounds for finding Rebecca in the 1F save room alive are now correct (initially its OH SHIT music, then its revealed she is alive and plays properly)
Censored intro and kenneth still
Models are entirely re-done. They are lower poly and possibly lower colors than other versions
Ticks are in the catacombs now, they are a completely new model and brown in color. There are no Hunters in the catacombs, and they have different audio (somewhat)
After Enrico dies for Chris, only one tick is present in the room (usually two hunters)
Hunters seem to have variations in colors, brown colored ones as well as green ones
Many sound effects are lower quality
FMV's seem to be better quality (at least better framerate)
2D sprites have dithering applied (looks horrible)
Models (tiger statue in particular) no longer have the PSX "flickering"
When Chris is saved by Rebecca and transported back to the save room, she only says his name once in this version rather than twice (as he is waking up)
Crow sounds are different (1.5 ones???)
Snakes are grey/red colored in this version
Zombies have added sound effects for moans (new ones)
Plant42 has different texture colors (similar to PC ver?)
Bee's have a very bright color now
Ladder to the catacombs is properly textured (all stained and brown -- is this like this on PSX too)?
Enrico has black hair instead of gray (texture limitation?)
Walking down stairs is done at a slower step-by-step basis now, rather than skipping large amounts (for FPV mode)
Rebecca breathes as she is sleeping in Chris' best ending (does PSX do this too)?
Added Saturn credits
Special Key (Closet) rotates differently when you earn it

Ahaha. I'll play some more today, but I'm pretty much done with the PC version. The things I've noticed:
Increased framerate
Increased resolution (640x480, polygons only, BG is still 320)
Plant 42 has more 2D arms on it, and its texture colors are different
Water has actual transparency and a lighter color
The painting "give me the peace of death" checking is different (it now just says a picture of people mourning the dead)
When you rescue Rebecca quickly on the 1F (shes in the room still) from the Hunter, the WRONG music plays (actiony OH SHIT music). Thought this was odd.
An alternate costume for each character is available (in addition to the standard alt costume), though you still can't go back to your normal clothes once you change.
Alternate ending screens are shown for both characters
Beating the game without saving = MINIME for Chris and a UZI for Jill. Both weapons are the same (sound effects, power, fire rate) except for the physical model
THIS VERSION HAS AUTO AIM! But no "adjust aim" from what I can tell.
The pool drain FMV seems like it might be re-rendered, but I'll have to look into this to be sure.
The snakes have a dark black texture rather than red now
The fountain plant turns a deep pink color when dead rather than red
Likewise, the water tank for it also turns different colors (pinkish to red)
When Yawn busts through the floor, an explosion sprite is done (lol)
I'm quite pleased with the PC version though. After getting it to work using Mark's nice utility (the .exe didn't work in Windows 7, but running the SILENCE.wav works just as good), its probably my favorite version.\
Also seems like I probably set some new records (at least for the Speed Demo Archive site). 100% completion (best ending) for both characters. I'll have to make a quick video for em and submit ;) I can probably do even better now that I have the alt weapons.Last edited by Dot50Cal; 12-27-2009, 03:49 AM.
