@ Dot, as far as I remember, you only have to say 'Yes' to her in the save room, and when entering the mansion you hear her scream after you kill the first Hunter -I don't know if killing or not the hunter can affect that, I've never tried it-. She'll be in the library.
I don't remember if helping Richard affects or not this event. But I think the time you take to get there indeed affects the event. If you go straight away, Rebecca is alive and you can -if you want- kill the Hunter. If you take too long -I don't know how much time- to get there, the Hunter has already killed Rebbeca. I'm not 100% sure about this, but iirc, it happened to me once.
On a side note, if you get hurt by Yawn the first time you fight it, the Poison status doesn't kill you. I left Chris standing there by almost half an hour and he didn't died. After exiting of that room, the scene with Chris falling uncouncious plays.

Yes, air the Saturn version when you get the chance, with its rainbow-colored gun smoke, ringing magnum reload, Virtua Fighter-looking faces, and battle game (with that ass-kicking main music/result screen music)

Usually, in RE: DS at least, I always tell Rebecca to go with me and play the piano and help Chris if he gets poisoned by the Yawn, and she'll be in the library.
Then again, that might be REmake. But then she never asks if she can go with you. I don't know, maybe I'm totally wrong.
And yes, the Black Tiger in REmake is such a pushover. That's why you get attacked by two regular Webspinners too. XD

Yes Dot, I believe you have to keep the serum for yourself and let Richard die so that Rebecca stays in the house and gets attacked in the library.
By the way, you were right, the flamethrower is useless against Black Tiger =p
I think I got mixed up with the remake, where Black Tiger is a joke, even with the flamethrower. Sorry about that.

Rebecca has to play the piano for Chris. Even if you say no to her, I'm pretty sure she still helps with the piano part. I'm not sure what happens afterwards though. If she asks if you want her to keep following or not.

Soo.. Maybe someone can help me save some time. I know now that in order to get rebecca in that cutscene above (under the stairs) you need to tell her she cannot follow you. But how do I get her in the Library? Do I go to Richard first, let him die, and then she will appear in the Library? Its the only way I can think of it..If you "save" Richard, she follows you.

One thing I noticed during a play with Chris, if you go to Richard first and totally avoid that save room in the west wing, you see her there with Richard. After he dies, the game automatically makes he stick with you (so she appears in the Guardhouse).
Theres optional dialog there too, after she saves you from P42. If she saved you from Yawn's poisoning, Chris will mention that its the second time shes saved him. Kinda annoying, cause now I have at least 3-4 more plays as Chris before I think I have all the scenes

I was playing with Chris a while ago and I noticed that there are two different versions of this scene. If you take too long going from the back of the mansion after killing the first Hunter, the scene will be trigered here, as the image shows, giving you the chance to choise Rebecca's fate. If you get quickly to that place, Rebecca will be waiting you in the save room that's right next to the stairs, giving you no chance to kill Rebecca. The conversation they have is the same in both versions of the event (if you let her live, of course).
I don't know how much time it has to pass exactly, I just leave it there for a while hahaha.
And after you come back to the mansion the bodies of all Bravo Team are no longer where they are supposed to be.

Dot I hope you play the Saturn version so we can all see the extreme battle game. I know its a lot to ask but a new podcast would be nice too.

But something else I just noticed. When you return to the mansion, the fountain plant isn't there anymore and the water is back to blue colored.
On a side note, I don't think I'll be streaming today. Unless I move onto Biohazard that is. There really just isn't much to comment on at this point and I think the stream is outliving its usefulness. Is it just me, or does Jill look a littlein this picture?
lol.

In honour of your playthroughs, (and the fact that I'm ill and can't be bothered doing anything else except play games and watch old episodes of TMNT this weekend), I've started a playthrough of my own, Director's Cut, Chris, Arrange Mode. Having fun with it, but the times I've died on the two Yawn fights just isn't funny.
PLUS I've still got the Demon Boulders to look forward to!!!
