All BIOHAZARD versions carry uncut b&w prologue.
All BIOHAZARD versions carry uncut first zombie encounter, also uncut on all Deadly Silence versions including Resident Evil.
Resident Evil French / German Director's Cut carry uncut colour prologue.

They didn't even fix it for the US Director's Cut Dual Shock version

Did the German version have the uncut FMV (the decapitation one)? Surely the uncut intro FMV is more brutal that that... :/

By the time someone noticed it was already on store shelves, lol. They tried to make up for it by putting up the uncut intro on the official site, but it was ages ago and I dont think anyone has a copy of what they posted anymore.

I don't have it anymore, but all it was was a 3 or so MB Quicktime version of the opening sequence only on the Capcom website years back was what they put up due to that. The video size and quality of course was exceptionally low grade given the average internet connection in that time. I'm thinking literally something like maybe a 200x130 sized image.

I still don't believe that Copyright story to this day, even though that was the official line Capcom took (blamed Sony specifically for it too).

Various ways, I had them all mapped out years ago but I lost the files. Just now re-figuring things out. Theres a LOT of pathways and its gonna be fun to map them all out for the site

Yeah that's the one. Too much for westerners to handle lol? I always wondered that, didn't make much sense how "Directors Cut" was still censored, kind of defeats the point of it being a Directors Cut.

What I wrote about Rebecca and Barry radio files is that these ones are different from the ones used in the game. Now, I didn't play RE1 in ages so if you say that they are identical to the ingame ones, then I must have made a mistake.
I have extracted all the sounds from the Biohazard videogame CD, and asked Ada (from BHFR) to convert them from Wav into MP3. I assume I did it using Yuri on my XP partition - Yuri or some kind of emulator, as Wav is a Windows PC format. But I did it in 2004-2005 and just don't remember today if I went through the .XAS archives or something else.

Something I've always wondered about RE1. You know the cutscene with first zombie you encounter, there's two versions, one where the head falls off and rolls on the floor, and a cut version where the zombie just turns around and looks at you. Which versions do these belong to? I remember years ago I had Sega Flash Vol.5 for the Sega Saturn and on it it showed the uncut sequence (was a video demo), yet I never noticed this in any PAL retail version I played. Whether it was in Directors Cut, I can't remember, I don't think my friends ever remembered seeing it outside of that demo... I was just playing beta 01/31 and to my surprise (or not surprise to be quite honest) it has the uncut FMV.
