Hey guys! Sure I can explain! The Mansion Keys are one of the most beautiful pieces of Resident Evil collectibles around. Not only is it virtually impossible to find, but I don't think I've ever had trouble finding any other crazy collectible(apart from my aeris music box).
I looked EVERYWHERE for them but to no avail. BUT....I have good searching skills and managed to find these pop up on eBay; on the bottom right of the picture you'll see a "camera" which is signature when you upload pictures to eBay(was too lazy to take my own pics for now lol). How expensive were they? EXPENSIVE! Try $600 US! Thats how much I won them for, but my max bid was double that .
I also find that not much information is available for rare Resident Evil items like these ones. Heres the explaination for the MANSION KEYS:
-Where given out at the 1996 Tokyo Game Show
-authentic capcom merchandise 1:1 Scale/replica of the Mansion Keys in the game
-Every entree was given only "ONE" of these keys.
-To collect all 4 you had to go around the exhibition and either buy it from other entree's or trade other collectibles that was given out.
-people who received a key would either keep it; try and collect the other three; or simply sell it on Yahoo Japan or merchant stores.
Whats special about these keys and what it means the most to me is that they are from the original Resident Evil game, not the remake. If you play the original Resident Evil and go to your inventory after you pick up a key(Helmet, Shield, Sword, Armor) they are 100% identical to the keys in the pics! So thats the full story for the Mansion keys incase some of you been wondering

(Nice keys!)
What's another half a decade in searching for the last 2 keys I need?
I actually remember seeing that auction come up, but as I already have half the set that price was too much for me to get the last two I need.
Michael, where did you read that information about how the keys were distributed? That info seems to be more elusive than the actual keys themselves.sigpic

These days I feel like playing through rebirth again. If my memory serves me right, this game is much more linear than RE1 and barely has any special event to unlock?
I remember there were many hidden scenes in RE1 featuring Rebecca or Barry. That's part of the reasons why I still prefer the first Resident Evil.

How do you unlock the door in the kitchen, I completed the whole game without opening it during Jill's scenario it says it's locked from the inside or something.
I've tried doing the save room Barry cutscene but I think you must have to bypass all the normal ones where you meet Barry for instance go to the Forest balcony first without checking Kenneth's body to stop him giving you the bazooka then continue on the 1st floor until you need a key if you go up on the 2nd floor don't exit back onto the 2nd hall or it'll trigger the cutscence where he gives you the acid rounds if you need to go back down to 1st floor use the other stairs also use the broken shotgun instead of letting Barry save you.Last edited by kevstah2004; 01-31-2010, 06:55 PM.If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

The one that the zombie comes flying through irc it's locked if you wait for Barry after he drops the rope there's also another locked door in the underground passage it's similar to the first corridor with two zombies eating each another the door is locked at the end of the corridor, I think if you don't wait for Barry and you have to go the other route through the double door back into the mansion opposite the piano room.
Also if you don't wait for Barry you won't see him in the catacombs, I think he must return when you go use the lift in the lab to meet Wesker.Last edited by kevstah2004; 02-01-2010, 08:45 AM.If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Started working on this again ;) My excursion into WOW land has sorta tapered off until Cataclysm comes out. Beat Jill Advanced Training last night, got the save. That completes the US "saves" Currently playing something which is a lot like advanced/arrange mode. I can't wait til you guys get a crack at it.
I've also made the horrible decision to re-record all the cutscenes again using the PC version. It really does just look that much better.Last edited by Dot50Cal; 07-07-2010, 12:30 AM.

Yes, it's true. Dot is a Warcrack addict. It's all Capcom's fault. If they'd just kept churning out the good, hardcore stuff he'd still be hooked but noooo, they had to cut it with this action shit. Now it's so dilute no one's ever gonna be hooked.
