How was he like a fatherly figure to any of the girls?

I can agree with Karui, but just for Claire and Rebecca.

Chris is, obviously, very protective of girls, especially when they are younger, so with Rebecca and Claire, he can seem very fatherly with them. However, I fail to see this kind of behaviour when he's interacting with Jill or Sheva. But, it's kind of strange for the latter, since there is a really big gap between the two when taking the age into consideration.

Chris and Jill first spent significant time together in Umbrella Chronicles. And I don't know how anyone could say Chris treated Jill like a father figure. Both characters personalities were so thin a light breeze could blow them away.

At least with respect to Claire and Rebecca, Chris showed a bit of emotion. Though with Rebecca it was reciprocal. Claire couldn't do a whole lot for Chris except become useless when Steve died.

The Ashford twins. Originally it was more so Alfred, but I suppose you can't really love one without loving the other. There's something about the twins that intrigues me. Really, they're both well developed characters considering they hardly get any screen time. Not to mention Alfred is a fun little psychopath to roleplay.

The twins are probably my favorite for their complexity as well. It was interesting how they managed to develop two characters without going too far into their back story, yet created (arguably) the more memorable characters in the RE universe.

Sure. Mostly because I liked her appearance in Degeneration and that she was the first character I've chosen to play as in Resident Evil 2.

Oh, and my favourite character is Chris Redfield.

He's virtuous and humble. I like this kind of character.
