This. WTF is up between Code: Veronica and chokers? Claire had one, Steve had one, Alexia had one, cross-Alfred had one. Nothing against them, but it seemed really out of place, especially when so many characters were wearing them.

Also, when Leon first runs into Ada in RE4, he says "Ada, so it is true. You... working with Wesker!" How does Leon know who Wesker is, or what he has done?
He problably had access to top secret gov intel, seeing he's quite a high rank officer.

Along the same lines, how does Claire recognize Wesker when he first appears in front of the palace in CVX?
I always imagined she must've dropped by Raccoon and stopped to see Chris @ the R.P.D. once or twice .

Kinda offtopic, but right now I'm replaying Code: Veronica (the backtracking is horrible ); during the conversation between Alfred and "Alexia" that Claire overhears you can clearly see "Alexia's" mouth when Alfred is talking and "she" doesn't move her mouth. Either Alfred is a ventriloquist or Capcom just screw the scene up.
Would it be so difficult to just make Alexia turn her head away or just change camera during Alfred's parts so that it wouldn't be so visible?

^I figure they could've made her turn her head. Changing the camera would screw up the idea that there were two people there, depending on where the angle was at. Or maybe, it was from Alfred's point of view (seeing as how Claire wasn't watching, instead hiding behind the corner).

Knowing Capcom, however, they probably just screwed it up.

I think that Chris's gut feeling just told him that it was Wesker. Personally I think it would have been better if it had been a surprise for Chris when he walked into the Monarch room.
          Mass production? Ridiculous!

Hah, I"m actually replaying CVX too to record the cutscenes. What you mentioned has always bugged me in a way, but I think Capcom did it on purpose. They "cheated" in a sense, to make it seem like Alfred was not alone, dressed up and speaking like his sister. Really, it comes across as a big mistake since he was roleplaying with himself, and yet on Alexia's line(or was it Alfred's?) when you can see his face, his mouth doesn't move to speak that his line--so yeah--its rather silly that Capcom decided to do it that way, cause it "cheats" the player from guessing that Alfred was having a conversation withimself until it is actually revealed.

              1. Wesker catching rockets (awesome though)

              2. Wesker not getting a scratch from said rockets exploding in his face.

              3. The Jill/Chris laser room scene from UC I mentioned earlier.

              4. Rebecca and Enrico somehow finding their way into the undreground labs from RE2 before the events of RE1...MINDFUCK.

Well, considering how unlikely that there could be anyone else with the first name "Albert" involved in a grand scheme to change the world through the use of bio-organic viruis, I really don't think its a stretch at all, but a logical assumption(at that point) for Chris to make.

However, like mentioned earlier in this thread, it's pretty silly Chris seemed shocked Wesker WAS alive, while the whole game he was searching for Jill because he believed her to be alive. Commen sense should have told him if Jill was alive, then Wesker most likely was, and was the one who saved her.

Way to go make Chris look a little slow in the brain department Capcom.

^The Chris knuckleheadedness (as I like to call it) in the logic department was done purely for some sort of dramatic angle, I believe. It's like Capcom was trying to weave serious storytelling elements into the game, even though it was obvious what the revelation would be. As everyone else has mentioned in this thread, Chris should not be so obtuse.

                  Albert + bioweapons = Wesker

Family Reunion + Masked Woman + Wesker = Jill

                  It's simple math, really.

As for all the complaints about the laser room in REUC, I too find it to be absurd, but nowhere near the level of stupidity displayed by the laser room scene in RE4. Chris & Jill dodge a fewer number of lasers (once) than Leon manages to dodge 3 times. Probably the dumbest thing about the laser hallway in REUC was the fact that they could have just turned around and ran out the open door behind them.

I've always assumed it was a different lab with a similar design, for several reasons:

                    1. Enrico came down the elevator that is used at the end of RE2's "B" scenario, which, if memory serves correct, needed a master key to operate. Something tells me Enrico did not possess this key.

                    2. In a mid-game cutscene, William Birkin says the following to Wesker: "If I'm correct, the URC has a self-destruct device in the basement. I'll find it, set it off, and annihilate the place to nothing more than a mass of rubble." Thus, the explosion at the end of the game would have most likely destroyed not only the management training facility and the treatment plant, but the lab (factory) area as well. Perhaps the factory area was a new lab under construction, based off of the plans of Birkin's lab under the city (RE2)?

                    3. The magic elevator that connects the factory, treatment plant, and management training facility's train tunnel to each other suggests that all three areas are in close proximity to each other - in the heart of the Arklay mountain region, far away from the city.

However, it's also possible that it is the same lab from RE2. Perhaps the cable car in the sewers under the RPD actually traveled miles outside of the city, into the forest region. I only say this because when Leon, Claire, and Sherry escape the train tunnel in the "B" ending, they are in a rocky area that is obviously not in the heart of the city.

Of course, the most logical explanation is that the whole thing is just a massive fuck-up on Capcom's part, wanting to include a graphically-revised area from the RE2 labs into RE0 to tease the fans. I understand what they might have been going for, but the execution was obviously very poor. What a revelation!

Well, Chris never really was the brightest bulb in the series. At times I've even thought Barry had more going on up there...

Even so. . .you'd think Chris would have grown a little more wiser over the years, because he certainly grew in muscle.

It's all about that Redfiled bulk baby! Who needs to be smart when you as buff, and you got a great partner in Jill who'll sacrifice herself to save you from impending death!.

(Though of course Chris would do the same)

Yea I always thought that it was sad that here the Bravo team is dying off one by one and the Alpha team is waiting to head in on a rescue mission, when Rebecca and Enrico are literally right underneath the R.P.D. , how silly.

Marcus on 0. Kudos to Umbrella Chronicles to change it to the creepy old leech man and not this metrosexual opera singer.

Mr. Barry Burton on RE original: Jill Sandwich, Master of Unlocking, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS! and more classic goodies.

RE4/RE:UC Laser scenes. Holy shit, Leon/Chris/Jill defy the laws of physics and push the human body to a new limit. Coolness anyway.

[RE2] Claire letting Sherry run off and not even having the decency to give her a weapon. Silly Claire.

[RE3] Nemesis not swatting Jill like Brad. He could have at any time, especially since he got the drop on her a few times. Think old Nemy had a crush.

[RE5] Plagas out in daylight. Forgive me but Plagas hate light.

I think there was a file in the game (Chapter 3-2 in the tents I believe) that said something about the plagas being different (type 2 or type 3 or something) than the ones from the Spain incident (type 1). The details are fuzzy, but I believe they said that research on the plagas increased their resistance to bright light. The flash grenades still work since they are far brighter than natural daylight.

But whatever, plagas are stupid anyway!

Thought it was pretty ridiculous that in RE0, Billy could play piano but not mix herbs.
But in RE1 Chris can't play the piano, but can mix herbs.
