      Probably more than that too.

I'd say it's hard to put a number on those "at the moment" (without any official info), but you shouldn't be surprised if there turns out to be over 1000 in circulation. It's not like they are THAT hard to find if you absolutely want one.

It's probably unlikely that there are LESS than 100 (would almost say less than 500 is pushing it too, considering how frequent they show up. And it's not like EVERYONE who's ever had one is a Biohazard fan and/or interested in selling)

I guess it's safe to say that there are at least probably less REmake trials than there are BH1 trials. (At least BH1 trials are very easy to find)

But if so many pieces from the remake trial exist, why is this version so expensive??

It's a price point. People are willing to pay that much for a copy so people will sell it for that much.

Yes,but take a look at some other demos, like the Bh 2 Demo..Its a very cheap demo, because many exist...The remake trial is very expensive, because only a few pieces exist, because this demo was given to the press and maybe to some gamestores for display

It's not "maybe given to a few stores", it's a shop demo. It was given to hundreds of stores. Some time ago, someone on assembler linked you to a website showing the stores which would get such trial editions, iirc.

The press don't get demos like these, the press gets CD-R review/preview discs. Well, NR discs as they are called in this case.

Minimum pressing number is probably MINIMUM 500. I doubt they'd bother to press less discs:
              1. Less than that would be very expensive for Capcom for each disc pressed, sometimes for very special occasions, less discs are pressed, but this is just a shop demo...
              2. The pressing plant may even not accept smaller orders, as it's a waste of their time.

It IS one of the harder to find trials, I guess it's rare because whoever has them don't know what they have, so most discs are stored around in Japanese basements and whatnot. It's also possible that several stores simply threw them in the garbage after the promotion was finished.

              So my guess: 500+.

I personally would love this demo!

If anyone sees it pop up anywhere (unlikely I know!) please let me know!

                Cheers!

aha..ok.nice info..but if really 500 exist,i think its not very much for a resident evil demo...I like the remake trial, because i love demos and i have search the demo over 3 years till i get the trial last year for 150 euro...i think its a good price,or??

I'd have to agree that it's highly unlikely that less than 500 BH Remake Trial discs were produced.

Having seen Sony and Nintendo licensing documents, 1000 copies tends to be the minimum quantity that licensed publishers can order for trial/demo/promo discs.

I would guess that at least 1000 were produced, which is still a very small number in the grander scheme of things.

One more thing to consider is even if there are 500+ demos chances are a good number of them have been damaged over the years and are unplayable. I know I personally have had accidents resulting in a broken discs (loader chowed it, stepped on it, scratched beyond buffing). X(
