  • Saddler's Plan vs. Wesker's Plan

Both Lord Osmund Saddler and Mr. Albert Wesker had very grand plans. WIth many flaws. But which was better do you think and why?

  • #2
I think Saddler's plan was better in the sense that he was just going to quietly take over the world through plagas mind control, and have the entire world become one massive community. Wesker on the other hand, wanted to spread uroborous over the entire planet, which would eradicate 90% of all living organisms. Than of course, the world would be running rampant with all the uroborous rejects, and I'm quite sure the world would look something similiar to hell. So, it's eithier a chaos infused hellish world filled with gross squishy things running amuck or a mind-controlled Los Illuminados future where you have to say Lord Saddler every 5 minutes.

I think we should all make fun of Saddler's backup plan. Lamest backup plan ever!

Also, i think this pic is relevant... Huge size, so click to view.

It's hard to say which plan was "better." Saddler's plan would have taken far longer to accomplish, whereas Wesker's plan was pretty much instantaneous. REmaster is right about the Uroboros rejects running rampant around the world, though - what would stop them? The humans that Uroboros accepted? And what about reproduction, in either the Plagas case or the Uroboros case? Were Plaga and Uroboros victims naturally immortal?

There are too many unanswered questions.
        Mass production? Ridiculous!

They're right about the virus mutating, too.

Yeah, it seems difficult to label one as better, but I'd have to go with Saddler's.

His was more of a surefire plan, since it was to take everyone over in the U.S. via plagas, which would grant him full-control over everyone there once they're infected. The plan also seemed pretty smooth initially, but got sloppy due to Luis stealing the sample, Ada interfering, Leon doing his thing, and other stuff.

Wesker's plan required special humans with superior DNA to recreate the world in his image. The process would've killed millions off the bat, and the others would've just been creatures with worm-like things swirling around them. Hell, Wesker was even rejected by Uroboros to an extent, since Excella mentions the test subject was rejected once the worms started to burst through him. A huge mess this plan would've been. At least Saddler's plagas wouldn't have killed off so many.

I'm also confused about what else Saddler needed Ashley for. They already injected her with the parasite, yet he still needed her for other reasons? I got lost there. I guess he needed to enhance her more with that machine, so she could duplicate more plagas within her system, which would give her an ample supply to infect her father, many others, and they can rinse & repeat the process.

Well, Saddler's plan does seem more "sane", as far as that goes. Wesker's on the other hand would create a helluva lot more than just chaos. Look how big Excella got after she absorbed all those bodies, now multiply that by millions of people and you would have a planet killing machine in Uroboros. That cartoon is more right than you know, if Wesker would have been successful there would be nothing left on the planet because Uroboros would annihilate and consume everything.

Just remember that Wesker was far from sane at the time of RE5.

Surely, Spencer fucked his mind up after their encounter in 2006, but Wesker was obviously planning something similar even before RE5.

I think Wesker's plan was more efficient because it was much more concrete. The effect would have been immediate. Also, his plan wasn't really as flawed as you would think : he wanted to eradicate the human race afterall. Even if that meant that the entire world would have been filled with giant black worms, his plan could have been a success.
To understand Wesker's plan, you must keep in mind that he really felt uneased at the contact of normal human beings for a lot of reasons. The fact he was meant to be a superhuman and that his entire life was just a tool for Spencer helped to reinforce this feeling. So, the only solution for him was the Uroboros project. Very radical, indeed, but still, it's coherent to some extent.

On the contrary, I sincerly doubt Saddler's plan was possible : the way he thought that, by controlling the US, he would have been able to control the world is laughable IMO
A lot of people would have noticed something was wrong and it would have ended in a world war between Plagas and humans.

^ OF course the plagas would have won that war if Leon was infected lmao. It would ultimately come down to an infected Leon V.S. Chuck Norris in a battle for the future of man-kind.

Saddler's plan was better. He even went to the trouble of documenting it for us (Our Plan )
But seriously, I thought it was better.

I'm currently replaying RE4 yet again. This time on Wii. It's such an EPIC, BRILLIANT game!!! I'm once again blown away by just how AWESOME it is. Without a doubt it's one of my favorite games of all time and one of the greatest games EVER made.
I really liked RE5 but IMO RE4 is way better than RE5 in EVERY way (besides graphics of course).
