  • CODE: Veronica in PAL 60?

Does anyone here know if there exists a PAL copy of CODE: Veronica (X) that has the option of running in 60Hz?

The only PAL copies I know of are the Dreamcast, ps2 and Gamecube versions. I have the Dreamcast and Gamecube versions, I don't own the ps2 version but I know for a fact it doesn't have a 60Hz option (as is with most PAL ps2 games).

If worst comes to pass then I'll probably just have to look into importing an NTSC version of the game on one the of the 3 platforms.

There are Action Replay PAL2NTSC codes by Jay007 for Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis that make the games run in PAL-60Hz mode.

    Code:
    [I]Resident Evil 2[/I] PAL2NTSC

    GDNB-D9X4-5460D
    CCA5-MXTH-D2RTR
    29RT-R4UR-8U3YR
    XXX2-VH7N-4E1AA
    7J7T-0GFF-Z96R8

    [I]Resident Evil 3: Nemesis[/I] PAL2NTSC

    0Z9Z-PVZX-M0F36
    D50D-9B61-B218X
    FAKF-XNQ6-10QF1
    1UZF-B7PX-B1AE1
    150X-WNRW-URWHC
For CODE:Veronica, you're out of luck: Import it. Informing yourself about an optional 60Hz mode before buying a PAL game is always the best way to go.

Hehe, I was probably the first person besides Jay himself to try those codes and they do work but not too well. The problem with forcing 60Hz is that it stretches the screen vertically beyond what the TV can see and also puts lines through the picture, not really noticeable in gameplay so much but does really hinder reading of the files. In the end I decided to buy RE2&3 on the Dreamcast because those versions have a 60Hz option.

I might try what you posted Kevstah but again like above, I've not had much luck with forcing 60Hz on ps2 games in the past.

I think probably the best thing to do is just wait for a re-release of the game because I'm not in any hurry to get a 60Hz version and it's something to look forward too anyway.
