Are there any special rewards for beating the game on very hard?
    Mass production? Ridiculous!

I'll let you know if I ever get around to beating it on Very Hard.

          I officially hate this game.

          Nothing makes sense!

Archelon did you get all the text files in Normal and Hard mode? I've unlock lots of stuffs in Normal mode but I haven't got all the files yet. When I goes to the archives, the files I have are in alternate orders. (meaning the files I am missing are in alternate orders too). It seems more than a coincidence so I am feeling strongly that you can't unlock all the files in Normal mode alone.

            1. left lamp in the bridge near start
            2. campfire
            3. left box in the l shaped hall
            4 before steve
            5. in steve
            6. left of alexia boss near the sg
7 on the right lamp near the linaier
8 on the celling of the alexia boss fight

still only tentacle and ant enemy./=/
If that helps, I THINK there's one at the top of the painting in the middle of the mansion stairs right at the beginning (think you have to climb to the 2F and shoot it when the tentacles sprout out...before you enter the room with the fireplace/shotgun rack).

I've played through on both Normal and Hard. I'm really hoping I don't have to play through on Very Hard just to unlock a single file.

I cleared Operation Javier 7th chapter earlier on again on Normal and I got a weird message. Says something about the "darkness continues or something". but it doesn't seems to unlock anything.

So if anyone else finds the "Javier's Private Messages" file, I'd love to know where it was. Or if you don't remember specifically, the general vicinity would be great. I have combed Operation: Javier up and down, and I just can't find it. My OCD is kicking into overdrive, and I have to know where this blasted thing is.

I need a hand finding the umbrella icon for Alfred and Manuela's bio too. I'm only missing these 2 characters

I'm almost done fully upgrading the linear launcher, which makes short work of all surroundings if aimed properly. I'll run through Game of Oblivion ch. 7 to see what I can find.

There are indeed certain archive items (little Umbrella icons) that can only be found in hard mode. For example, Alfred's character model - in the vase in the palace's main hall on the first floor.

I haven't played the game, but reading this thread makes me think that it is just one big jumbled clusterfuck.

still dont have alexia or steve enemy....i think it might have to do with the score on hard or normal becuase theres no way i missed an icon with the damage i dealt to that stage..unless its in one of the 50 lights in alexia battles =/

My suggestion is to first upgrade your hand gun to the max.

Go through the chapter one or twice and get a rough idea of where are the places which you only catch a glimpse of the zombies. The next time you play, quickly unload your round into them before the camera shift away as each zombies killed net you some point. If you are lucky you might headcap them too

go trigger happy at EVERYTHING (you get 10 points for everything you hit, and high point is one of the criteria to get a good ranking).

obviously you will have to try to headcap the zombie as much as possible. If you're wasting too much time trying to decap a zombie you might as well give up and kill it, as time is a criteria too.

Toss a grenade in rooms where there are many interactive items (eg the fireplace room in the last chap of Game of Oblivion) and tiny enemies (eg the roaches). you can also toss a couple over the fence (to kill the zombies) when you climb up the outer stairs in East Wing RPD
