I agree. I'm actually surprised Capcom went back to Chris' old style and not re-use his RE5 model. Talk about inconsistency.

How so? Using the RE5 model would've been inconsistent (RE5 is based on the REmake model, like Jill's, but with more detail and in Chris' case a bigger body build and beard).

I see no problems with the new designs of the characters. They look great to me.
It's true what you all are saying that they have changed alot since the old days.
I mentioned in another thread about what would we like to see in Resident Evil 6.
I mentioned that I would like to see the Resident Evil series go back to what it was originally known for, servival horror instead of heavy action.
It seems the gameplay and character looks are changing abit too fast and I really hope that in the long run it doesn't end the series.

I have no problems with the new designs, but I can't forget the old designs either.

Oh, well, not the body design perhaps, since Chris wasn't muscular in CV, but the face (I should have been more clear). Don't you think Chris' face looks completely different in his RE5 and DC versions?

I think the difference that you seem to notice - and like most of us I believe do as well - is that Chris simply looks older in RE5. We are more used to the young, ordinary looking Chris.

As much as I hate the new look for Claire, at least she has a family
resemblance to Chris now. Though I think her nose and mouth needed to me more feminine

Still though, those adjustments suit her facial features in that still. She looked manly there to start with.

Personally I prefer the Degeneration look of Claire Redfield over her Darkside Chronicles look. Mostly because I strongly believe that Claire looked "cute" in Degeneration.

(Not that I'm complaning mind you...)
