Well, I do like both, but most people appar to hate/dislike them. So who is less hated?: Excella "I think Im Uro-worthy, Big Boobs" Gionne from RE5 or Alexia "Everyone is here to serve my experiments with my friend Vero, Little Biatch" Ashford from RE DSC.

Well lets look at the statistics:
Personality wise: Both suck badly. They are both egotistical but only one of them seems really insane, the other has wesker....
Ability wise: Well Excella has those floatation devices and Alexia bleeds fire, unless Excella's breasts are packed with the T-Veronica antivirus then she'd be screwed.
So I think overall as much as I hate to say it, Alexia wins. Though CV alexia wins by default.

I like both
Although if i had to pick...I'd say Excella is better.
My reason is because i found Alexia so annoying in CV, and also her voice in DSC was bad in my opinion. =PLast edited by Andyfer_Ruu; 12-05-2009, 02:41 PM.

Excella was a character I was genuinely interested in knowing more about, based on the early trailers and magazine scans. I expected her relationship with Jill to have many layers, especially with Irving's line, "You're just one of Excella's play things." Had we seen more of that dynamic, with Excella manipulating a mind-controlled Jill, my opinion of her could be different, but instead, Excella comes off as a very sleazy, uninteresting character. We're led to believe she's some sort of genius, having gone through university and shit at a young age, yet all her book smarts are never portrayed during the course of the game. She just plays the role of a bitchy skank. The similar goals and outlooks she shared with Wesker are completely overshadowed by her desire to get into his pants, and it's pathetic. Needless to say, I did a silent cheer when her time was up.
So... Despite having many issues with how Alexia and the Ashfords were portrayed in Darkside Chronicles, I'm gonna have to choose Alexia anyway. Excella is just... intolerable, to me. :[

Power wise- DSC Alexia wins. Duh.
Character wise- I don't know. Both were bitches. One was an insanely insane bitch (DSC Alexia) and the other a manipulative bitch (Excella). The thing is, though, they both had so much potential. DSC Alexia had the potential to be portrayed like her original self (still a bitch, but a different kind), and Excella could have had so much more character (as many have said).
The way the producers portrayed Excella was rather distasteful, like just eye-candy for the male-gamers to watch. Hell, even her death was over-sexualized (I hated her death. I just wished she didn't turn into such a giant blob. Maybe a bullet to the face from Chris, Sheva, or Jill, but not the mutation. However, it was saddening to know how she was manipulated herself by Wesker).
DSC Alexia, no matter how ruined or cut-up her character was, she wasn't there just to stare at and drool for (even her mutated forms aren't that sexualized). Also, no matter how different she was from the original, she still had some sort of character. Somebody who was insane, somebody who was selfish.
Don't get me wrong, both have personality and character. But, in the end, I'll have to go with DSC Alexia. No matter how butchered her character was, her portrayal was much better than Excella's. The way the producers had portrayed her was just so horrible, IMO. To them, she seemed like she nothing but a slut with power.
So, DSC Alexia. Slut with power, also. But she's insane. And her blood catches fire. Excella's tits are okay, but whatever.Last edited by Ray; 12-06-2009, 01:00 PM.

Regarding DSC Alexia, I actually like how they made her appearance. Everything else, however, annoys me. The voice and plot-ruining really got on my nerves. But I thought they nailed her image perfectly.
Excella is one of my least favorite characters in the RE universe. I found her completely annoying and utterly useless, and I was glad that Wesker... "disposed" of her. From her annoying voice to her unnecessarily large boobs, everything about her felt out-of-place.
So, even though DSC really raped the Game of Oblivion section, I still prefer "little girl-sounding" Alexia over Excella's worthless ass.Mass production? Ridiculous!

what i dont get about people not liking the old characters in newer games is that they dont get that they arnt gunna look or sound the same way that they used to in older generations.... so you just gotta get used to it, im only interested in what capcom is TRYING to do for the series :/sigpic

And even if you're only interested in what they're TRYING to do with the series it still seems like huge disappointment would be on the agenda anyway considering the mess Darkside Chronicles seemed to have turned into.Last edited by Stu; 12-06-2009, 03:20 PM.
