I wanna see Jill in a full game as the main star. Not as some side character or in some on rails spin-off. Been waiting 9 years for one since RE3.

Also zombies, and if they are not going to make it survival horror then please keep the co-op because it was great in RE5.

A full on multiplayer similar to Versus would be welcomed.

Well, cancer curing robots made out of gold would be nice.

Unfortunately I have no ideas for RE6. I don't think Capcom will take it back to being scary since the majority of scare tactics has been removed (mainly camera angles) and capcom always seemed bad, especially compared to team silent.

Maybe Hunk chronicles or something in a pseudo new-classic gameplay mix. You know, some kind of secret facility of umbrella's (maybe before RE0/1 or between RECV and UC) gets compromised and you are hunk or a U.S.S. and are sent in to fix the situation. Plenty of stupid puzzles abound.

I really just hope they do something that makes me go wow.

I'm ashamed to admit as an RE fan that I haven't actually played the Outbreak games yet. At the time it came out I was young and didn't have a lot of money to spend on games, so had to prioritize on the best games, and I'd heard that Outbreak wasn't very good.

As it goes I put Outbreak 1 on my Christmas list. Strange I know but I still like playing old games, and after watching Dot50Cal's 'Umbrella Broski' videos it actually looks quite fun.

I really wouldn't hold your breath. She's appeared in FOUR series games now(RE1, RE3, RE:UC and RE5...five games if you count REmake), and I think it's just about time that her and Chris retired. Putting her in the lead of another game would be the absolute penultimate form of fanservice wankery.

Agreed, the co-op is what kept me playing RE5 for months.

          Say it with me now...

Versus was fucking GOD-AWFUL in RE5. Tank controls and not being able to run and shoot do not work in competitive multiplayer...case closed.

Jill's my favorite character, but really, she's had her time. Sure it would be cool to have a whole game where she was a main protagnist, but given her appearence and use in RE5, and not to mention being playbale in the new DLC content, eh, if Chris doesn't come with the package, it simply wouldn't make any sense to use her seperately.

The only interest I have left in Resident Evil, is Ada Wong and Sherry Birkin. Everything else is closed or forgotten. Although, I also think it's pretty safe to say that Sherry's been forgotten as well.

Let sleeping dogs lie. Bring on the (inevitable) shitty spin-offs, leave the numbered titles alone.
Well, maybe I'm more a positve person, but I think a mostly new settings/characters would do the series a great deal of good. Though, there's not a simple answer to that question. I suppose Capcom's not really in the hurry to make RE6, as they themselves know they want too, but after RE5 falling far short of the critical acclaim RE4 garned from all corners of the gaming world, I think they want to be careful about what they do next. Doing zombies again, even fast, intelligent zombies, is counter productive to doing something really fresh I"d say. If they ever hope for a chance to reclaim the action game throne, some drastic, intriging concept will have to emerge to really grab gamer's attentions, and make them forget about RE5's misteps. Only time will tell, of course, but there's always a glimmer of hope. (That, and an RE game still sells millions of copies.)

I gotta agree/disagree with this statement. Yes, tank controls don't make a "serious" online competitive multiplayer componet. Versus is a joke compared to the huge juggernaunts of Call of Duty, Halo, Uncharted 2, etc. But still, it's a very unique and fun mode to play with friends. The randomness and unpredictiabilty can be very amusing at times(and piss you off other times.) All in all, yeah, it's not really anything to write home about, but it's still better than a shoe-horned multiplayer componet trying to copy the above mentioned games online formula, and failing because it can't match the ones that do it the best.

Maybe Capcom should just leave Resident Evil alone now and move on to pastures green. You know, still use the core concepts from RE but do like Dino Crisis. Completely unrelated but using a similar system.

I honestly can't see the direction for the next game. I feel Capcom did not have any vision when it came to RE, as is why the games got so goddamn muddled by the end, skipped the biggest story arch in RE (Downfall of Umbrella) only to correct it by a couple of chapters in UC. After thinking of that I definately want to see Capcom just not bother with Resident Evil (a reboot will just piss me right off) and move onto something else. Maybe 10 years down the line when they have a good idea, they can make a new one.

That wasn't my point at all. I stopped playing that shit after maybe a week and a half because everything about it sucked. It wasn't fun and it did absolutely nothing but piss me off. People piss me off in online games no matter what, but I put up with it because the games are fun. Versus wasn't fun.

If she has a dormant G-virus in her, all she will do is turn into a monster if it awakens. Again, not much story potential there. Nothing new or revolutionary to add to the plot.
It would be sort of like....ok Sherry, ive come all this to save you even though we've learnt nothing that we already dont know. Since you cant add anything new to the story except turn into a G-mutant i might aswell shoot you to get it over with.
Actually, Sherry has a resistance to the G-Virus as a result of Claire making the DEVIL vaccine for her. As the only human in the world to have that resistance, I'd say it could make for a very valuable storyline. Of course, the logical side of me knows that seeing Sherry again is highly unlikely, but there's still a .01% possibility. Since Sherry being in Wesker's custody has been retconned, maybe Sherry could take the role of a protagonist, an everyday civilian, in Resident Evil 6. Given her past with Umbrella and Raccoon City, it would interesting, but I'm not holding my breath.

What I want to see most in RE6 is Las Plagas + T virus = intelligent zombie

They sort of did that in re5 in a way...i think.
Didnt they combine the plagas with the progenitor virus?
Since progenitor is the base for the T-virus, then i guess it's sort of like a t-virus + plagas mix.

I see nothing wrong with bringing back the old cast but they need to give it a good reason. Every series has their heroes... so i personally think it's useless to think that the saga will go better just for having a new fresh cast. There are a lot of things more important than characters.

The problem with the old cast is that they are now veterans who survived several outbreaks, fought with various monsters etc. and no matter how Capcom would try to bring horror back (if they bring it back that is), making those characters looked scarred would be really hard. Rookies, on the other hand, don't have this problem. Not to mention, RE story is currently one big cluster fuck; RE5 tried to solve several plot issues, but we've all seen how it turned out, so moving forward is probably the best solution.

I'm not saying that the old cast should be completely wiped out from future games, but they should be pushed more into background.

                            Pretty good?

The only remaining plot threads are Ada and The Organization. Capcom could make something decent out of it. Doesn't even have to be a main game.

This is true. Which hopefully means they do something with the PSP game. It would be nice to have Ada's storyline wrapped up, and if the game takes a step back and returns to previous game elements, I'd be very pleased.
