  • 1. Slow moving zombies. Yes, they'd be brutally easy to kill with the behind the shoulder POV, but you can remedy that by making vast, endless hoards of them. Computer technology in this day and age will be able to handle this. Force the player to evade and survive rather than shoot and collect. If they spend too long in one area load up some more zombies to chase them around.

    2. Keep the Duo cooperative dynamic. Its more fun with a friend.

    3. Puzzles - i am not sure i am a fan of the old style puzzles personally, but creating realistic situations that require practical problem solving would be cool in my book. (ex: need to find c4 to blow up a door, need to rescue scientist to gain access to lab, etc). Stay away from the goofy Myst-like puzzles in the original games.

    4. More environmental hazards. Have the lights go out while your in the middle of a zombie hoard, or the room floods and you have to escape underwater. Anything that will spice up the formula.

    5. The 'No Fail' approach to gaming. This is a general trend in gaming, but dying rarely has a consequence any more. You die and you reload from the same spot and try again. The traditional RE games added stress because you didn't feel safe until you found that saferoom-save spot. I don't know how you incorporate this into today's generation of games, but there needs to be a consequence to dying. Difficultly adds stress which amplifies the game's overall atmosphere.

yea i like that you should have to like save on a computer or something instead of an old typewriter lol. and this time you should be like outside of the city like in resident evil 3

        • I hated that. I constantly had to watch several cut scenes repeatedly because of that.

          • Also on Resident evil 6, I would also like to see new features:

1.) Like ripped clothes on the main players from the damage

2.) Instead of a saveroom, there should be a hideout that the player can only go to save. ( I doubt that works)

3.) I want a Create-A-Character mode where you can create your character and be in a scenario with a canon character (let's say Claire, Carlos, Rebecca, Leon, etc...).

I like that idea. It adds realism to the Resident Evil series in my book.

Excalty because I remember that they use the ripped clothes feature on the Resident evil 1.5 and Code: Veronica beta videos.

More detail is always a welcome addition. I'd like to see a return of the save rooms, it doesn't have to be a typewriter like someone said. The save room music has always been a huge part of the series to me, and RE5 just felt empty without it.

                        • Most ideas are excellent and I would like to see them in a whole new IP. RE5 ended good enough for me. Let the RE series rest in piece.

What is to stop Capcom from developing a new series?

                            • I loved the save rooms they were the only safe places in the whole mansion and in resident evil 3 they was the only place that i could lose nemesis and then once i get out there he is waiting for me :/

                              • I would like to see RE 6 be more like Silent Hill and the original RE games. Scary and very psychological at the same time.
