I must admit I loved Survivor when it came out a long time ago for PSX. We managed to get a gun compatible version and it was a blast... I hope that the 3rd chronicles game manages to include this story (even if it's a fucked up abridged version of it, I want to see Ark in semi-HD).

      Hahaha!

I only ever played Survivor 1, and that was just a one-time brief play. The survivor games have never really appealed to me, since they've been regarded as bad games and don't have much to do with the main storyline. I might pick them up one day since I'm becoming more of a collector these days

Survivor is a rather interesting game. The characters are actually really cool. And Goldman, Goldman is a cynical douchebag. We need more of him.

As for Survivor 2, does anybody know when it even takes place? Was it while she was asleep/unconscious in the Antarctic before Chris went to wake her?

And one more question for Survivor 4/ Dead Aim: Was that... laser thing from a satellite??? From OUTER SPACE!?!?

Now I know where 5 got the laser-beam idea from...
Nahhh, that was blatantly just a Hammer of Dawn from Gears of War!

Survivor and Dead Aim are decent little games, they have their charms. Dead Aim plays like a dream and the environments are cool. Survivor has camp, a variety of enemies, and easily the most sadistic and controlling branch of Umbrella.

Survivor is good for story (not so much the active story, but building up the RE universe). However if you have a Euro or Japanese copy get yourself a G-Con (PS1 version only works I think) because it ups the fun of the game a hundred fold. G-Con support was disabled in the US.

Gun Survivor 2: Code Veronica...honestly, don't bother with it. Not even as a hardcore RE fan. Ws not released in US btw.

Dead Aim is ok from a gameplay perspective but the story stinks. Terrible if you don't use a PS2 light-gun controller. Survivor is a lot better, imo.

I liked Ark Thompson but the graphics made me want to slit my wrist.

Personally i loved both Surivor and Dead Aim. Survivor had terrible acting and script work but a nice dark story and fun gameplay even if the controls suck lol (i dont have a gun con) and makes a great addition to my re collection. Dead Aim was a great game in my opinion and had a good story with brilliant cinematics while giving us a load of new, interesting enemies. Survivor CVX was a fun game in its own right but as previously stated its just a port of an arcade game doesnt really have a story, however i still play it occaisonally and find it fun lol

The controls are exactly the same as every other RE title on the PS1. It's actually somewhat harder with the G-Con.

I adore Dead Aim, Morpheus could have been improved upon considerably as an antagonist, but I loved the backround score & atmosphere. The use of 1st person exclusively for combat, with a 3rd person camera angle, further away from the player than that of RE4 & 5, works for me.
Does anyone else agree, the Hunters on the boat are some of the toughest Hunter breeds in the series? (or was I just using the wrong weaponary?!)
Others would disagree, but I experiance far more survival horror moments in Dead Aim, than RE4 or 5. There are far too may herbs & ammo though which doesnt help the survival bit of the horror too much!
The story of Survivor is really creepy, it is one of the best in the series for me, by quite a bit ~ obviously the graphics are a shame, although at the time, in comparison to its peers, were they that bad? The story inv. Nemesis production was brilliantly odious, and the memory plight of the protagonist was a great plot dynamic. Calls for remakes are always contentious, but I would put Survivor top of the list, as the installment that would most BENEFIT, from a 2010 polish.
As for Survivor 2...Blaaaaaaaahhhhhhh (that's a technical term)
