VGchartz are a bit hit and miss. Usually, it's okay for getting a rough indication of something, but only if it's something somewhat big and the numbers have been double checked or updated after they were first initially posted.
If I ever cited them as a source for numbers (actually, if I ever pulled numbers from anywhere), I'd probably try to point out where the numbers were pulled from too.
(Which reminds me; 121k for UC in Nov 2007 = NPD numbers.)
Also, sales vs shipped is a much more fun game to play. Supply and demand! That's where the real fun is.
