I have created an account. but I couldn't make any "New Thread" for DMC1. I think P.N.03's engine graphic is similar to Resident Evil 4. P.N.03 was made in Capcom Production Studio 4 just like Devil May Cry 1 and Resident Evil 4. In my idea P.N.03 is a good choice for investigating. maybe there is some hidden contents of RE4. obviously some of the music files of P.N.03 used for Resident Evil 4 in Mercenaries part.
There are remnants of left over code reused from biohazard 4 probably because they used the same dev tools if you open the main game dol in a hexeditor you can find text saying biohazard 4.
As for dmc te try opening the main game elf slus, sles scus, sced etc in ps2dis, invoke the analyser and look throughout the labels for anything that sticks out.
Guys, I need some more Codebreaker codes for DMC US Trial to investigation. those codes that I worked with, were limited. can someone please make some codes for me? or can someone tell me how can I make some other codes for this Trial Edition?
I think you are looking in the wrong place. After all, much of the original game concept should still be there. From what's known about that version, there was no returning character from the series. And when it was "scrapped", they just turned all the bio stuff into demon stuff, et voilà ! New game. Sort of.
There are some interesting Bio4 stuffs in Devil May Cry 1 Japanese artbook. Dante originally was created for Biohazard 4. he was an european police officer who was sent to a castle for investigation. he had some special super powers. also he had a partner too. but her partner didn't have any special name. they just called her as "Stevie Wonder's daughter". Dante's father was the chairman of the castle and he was the final boss. that blue color was used to show him cold and scary. Dante didn't have any swords. but his brother Vergil had one sword to show his hostility to Dante. also there were artworks of Tony Redgrave and Aisha.
In this bedroom, there is a strange portrait of a woman. do you know who was she? she was definitely Dante's mother in Biohazard 4:

Hey guys, I wanted to extract all of the models and textures of Devil May Cry 1 (PS2). I already made some similar topics on the other forums, but they didn't really help me. I need some extractor tools, model viewers and plugins for Blender or 3DSMAX. I would be very grateful if you help me.
I'm new to this forum, I registered so I too could express my interest in extracting models from Devil May Cry (the first one). It's surprising that such a good game like DMC1 hasn't gotten the attention it deserves with extracting models and such. I would be in heaven if someone posted 3ds max compatible models from the game (or tools to do the extraction myself)!
I've tried ripping models from the game using Psx2, but that doesn't work...apparently the emulator uses some video overlay that prevents geometry dumping, which really sucks. When ripping a scene in DMC, I don't get anything...maybe a texture or two, but that's it. Whereas in Tekken 4, for example, I get flat geometry...which is pretty useless, but still - I don't know why DMC isn't giving me anything polygon-wise.
So I've given up on that, and now I'm looking to get stuff directly from the disc. Judging from how the PSone RE games use .PLD files for models, I assume the DMC models are in the disc's Pld folder. I also know that RE4 uses the "pl00" file designation for Leon, so I wouldn't be surprised if the file "pl00.pld" on the DMC disc is Dante. MarkGrass has made a PLD program for the RE games, but from what I've read it sounds like it won't work for other games, am I right? (Most of his links to tools are broken.)
I downloaded some tools from previous posts in this forum, so I need to try those out. Hopefully we can get some help on this! *crosses fingers*

Guys have you ever seen this "twins" artwork from Devil May Cry Artbook? isn't that symbol familiar for you? yeah that's Umbrella's symbol. this artwork is related to the Biohazard 4 project on PS2 that finally turned into Devil May Cry. so Umbrella corporation was supposed to be in Bio4. Hmm... how interesting. I would be thankful if you upload some unseen artworks of Bio4 and DMC1.

Note: let me tell you this right now. Japanese Trial Edition is very interesting. it has more doors than the original Devil May Cry! I will upload some high resolution screen shots soon. so just wait.
